    Guys honestly I have been through alot in the pastr few mionths and people are always trying to scheme you and look to be a couple of steps ahead of the curve. Floyd is one of those people and politics controls boxing do be ****** about that. JMM had not gotten a big fight or a big money fight like he had with FMJ. GBP threw him in there comeon since when does JMM call anyone out after a fight except PAC? JMM calling out FMJ that was set up. If JMM wins that bout which most if not all knew was not going to happen he might have gotten a crack at PAC maybe at 140 lbs. BUt FMJ taking him out of the equation made for an easier ploy to get to the bargaining table. Worst case scenario FMJ and PAC bombed out and GBP would have fell back on FMJ vs SSM as the next all GBP promoted BIG fight...Well all GBP unless you consider Mayweather Promotions it's own seperate entity. I see it as a child promotional company to GBP for now at least. FMJ picked that fight and GBP served up JMM to him for a reason. You have to get passed the he picked a light weight and see it for what it really was. If you want to get someone in the ring and force them to negotiate with you take away their options....Lefty

      End of thread, Mayweather picked Marquez because he can't punch and lands on his ass in every fight.

        Notice how before the fight most of the people predicting Maywetaher by dominant victory primarily justified their opinion by the size difference. It was all "JMM is too small, Maywetaher by early KO". I think even these people must have been surprised at how the fight went. I never imagined Mayweather would be able to outbox Marquez so severely.

        Size was a massive factor (in that Marquez looked sluggish in some areas and Mayweather's punches had more of an effect on him than they might've otherwise) but it was a spectacular performance.

            "End of thread" may be the most sissy move used on internet forums. Along with reporting and campaigning for a ban.

            I loved the way you laid it down, Lefty. Every once in awhile, you need someone to step back and look at the wider picture, as you have.

            Kudos.

              Sorry read it now.

              Yeah, I think without question it was a chess move. I don't think Marquez calling Mayweather out was scripted but when Mayweather and his camp saw that they realised they'd just been handed an amazing business move on a silver platter.

              Marquez offered;
              - what they saw as a low risk opponent
              - a name with some historic significance
              - a doorway to a megafight with Pacquiao

              I doubt they could have forseen such large monetary profits and probably chalk that up to Mayweather's involvement so that likely wasn't a factor either.

              The fight made all the sense in the world from Floyd's perspective.

I for one put up points on Marquez and said you cannot question the size of a man’s heart. The fight itself looked like a glorified sparring session where as it was said “it looked like a man playing with his little son” as stated on the GET UR FACTS STRIGHT talk show with HORUS Floyd picked that fight as a strategic business move. If you think about like this at the time when it was first rumored that Floyd was coming back talk of a rematch with Hatton were on the horizons. Hatton had acquired Floyd Sr to be his trainer and was putting a nice back drop to what would have been a sexy selling point for their fight. Hatton being in bed with GBP and Money Mayweather promotions being in bed with GBP as well. FF with the fight between Marquez and FMJ on hold due to a rib injury Hatton takes a hook to the chin and also losses his shot at the lucrative rematch with Floyd.

                Floyd handles Marquez in easy fashion and sets up this MEGA fight with Pacquiao. By beating Marquez the #2 P4P fighter in the world at the time not only did Floyd get a tune up but he secured himself the fight with Pacquiao by taking his only other big money option off the table. Before Marquez fought Floyd there were talks of a Marquez vs Pacquiao III now after Floyd beat him with ease those scream have been silenced. It appears the winner of Pacquiao vs Hatton was going to get the winner of Floyd vs Marquez all along. Think about this Marquez, Mayweather and Hatton are somewhat promoted by GBP. It makes perfect sense and it is going to make dollars too. With the eventual face off between the lineal Champion Mosley and the winner of Pacquiao vs Mayweather if he can get past Berto on January 30th. People were trashing Floyd and I may have been one of them but after some real thought I see the way his move played out for him. It was a calculated selection and paid off for him....Lefty

                why do *****sexuals think floyd gets credit for this? JMM IS A BLOWN UP FW!!!!
