        only ignorant mainstream fans & analysts think that hatton, oscar, & cotto made pacquiao. it made him pop, but his greatness was already secured with his fights vs the 3 mexican hall of famers.

        as for the question, you cant make jose luis castillo into a great fighter to fit your argument. you have to judge his whole career, how it turned out. he wasnt a great fighter same with corrales. they were very good fighters nothing more, nothing less.

        They would be lucky to even be mentioned for HOF. Corrales maybe due to his untimely tragic death, but Castillo? Id be very very surprised if he made the HOF.

          Corrales was definitely legit when they fought. Oscar was a bit OTH, but still a legit opponent. Especially when the fight was at 154...
