I think floyd would draw more of his fans to a fight on the east coast or the south and probably not bad in Dallas for a fighter that elicits little excitement from crowds when he's in the ring.

There isn't a large Floyd Mayweather ticket buying fan base. The ones that are fans are typically rich African American entertainers and they will travel to Texas without a problem. Quite honestly Floyd fans would turn out more at Dallas Stadium than Vegas because the low end ticket would be drastically cheaper due to the 4 times more seating in the stadium. The low end ticket will probably be more in the neighborhood of $100 than $300 or more.

I have been to all his fights since the Corrales fight. At the JMM fight the crowd was predominately hispanics but there was a round of cheers when FMJ was announced. And if I recall correctly in the Hatton fight after the booing of the national anthem it turned into a USA vs England thing and it was cheering and clapping everytime Floyd landed a punch. DLH was always the crowd favorite no matter who he fought.

I live in the Dallas area and it's not about the stadium. What are people going to do when the fight is over? Dallas closes down by 3am. So you are wrong to assume FMJ fans would turn out more. It would be hard too convince the 'Whales' that Vegas loves to feed on for money to come to Dallas just for a fight and no excitement afterwards.

This fight needs to be in Vegas with High Rollers and Movie Stars. It would be really underwhelming if they had it at a ***ing football stadium.

Are you talking about Pacquiao-Mayweather or an MMA bout?

I can understand if you're talking about MMA because that sport would never sell more than 20,000 tickets.

what i dont understand is...isnt taking a loss in a small fraction of this man's multi-billion dollar wallet worth the exposure and historic significance his new statium can get?..

if i was mr. jones, i would pretty much tell arum and ross that the venue is found. i'll beat any price, let's close this deal quick.
