this fight will end up at the MGM grand....since the Cowboys are probably Top 5 most popular sports teams in America they are using Jerry Jones & his BILLION $ stadium for FREE promotion just by associating the fight with Dallas....lol
At the end of the day everyone knows this fight will be in the MGM....Comment

Its not like the Commission has to use Texas officials, that's just done due to nepotism and politics and happens everywhere. Terms can be arranged to have only the highest qualified judges and refs appointed to this fight. So quit using that as a reason not to have this fight in Arlington."
Do you mean that they don't have to be from texas or that they don't have to be liscensed in texas(and if it's the latter, can you post some documentation/prior examples to support this) ? I won't be able to go to either site under consideration, so I just wanted some more assuance that the biggest fight in years will have access to (IMO)the best judges and refs.Comment

I really do think it makes sense from a business perspective, to keep dallas in the running, even if one or both participants don't want to go there, it'll likely drive the site fees up and mean more money for both participants, arum's on the "money" on this one.Comment

What they should do is create a national poll asking where the fight should take place, and before March...decide where to host the fight.Comment

The final fight venue will be decided by WHO has much money to offer and influence.
Money talks w/ dirty politics!Comment

Do "floyd fans" even go to his fights in vegas? At the JMM fight I didn't hear anyone cheering for floyd. Against Hatton and dlh, those crowds were definitely against him. I remember plenty of boos during the Baldomir fight.
I think floyd would draw more of his fans to a fight on the east coast or the south and probably not bad in Dallas for a fighter that elicits little excitement from crowds when he's in the ring.Comment
