I also wondered this, yet he might have been reluctant to throw, because Manny could have countered his straight right. Still like some of you said Cotto's body work consist of hooks, and seldom does he throw that jab, or straight right to the body, which he should have done. BTW why was he squared when he was throwing his body shots? being squared up like that takes power away from the shots you're trying to land, and leaves you open to be countered, or worse get hit by a hayemaker.
Serious question on Cotto's body attack against Pacquiao.

Cotto is just an inferior fighter to Pac. It's that simple. He's a C-level fighter while Pac is on the elite level. Cotto could have brought his brother, father and that fat boy with him into the ring that night and Pac would have taken them all out. Cotto was always vastly overrated. Doesn't have a clear cut victory against an elite fighter.Comment

Yeah, I wish Mayweather would put his punches together more. But he is a safety first fighter.Comment

I was telling this to a friend of mine before the fight that was supporting Cotto, Cotto is one dimensional in his body attack, he knows only 1 way of going to the body and if that way is taken away from him he doesn't know how to get back to the body. The hooks is just what he does, he doesn't throw straights to the body.Comment
