Yeah, the few times Cotto did throw down the center he hit Pacquiao with some nice shots.

I have to say, though, I was scared as **** after the first round.

Cotto thought soon as he touched Pac it'd be over. It ain't work and he wasn't ready to box his way to a decision. He couldn't hurt the guy, so he was simply fucked. He landed cleanly to both the body and head a few times, wit shots that shoulda hurt Pac. They didn't, so it was just a matter of time.

He definitely should have. It's a good point you bring up. Cotto has great skills, they just need to be honed and put work with good strategy. He really needs a new corner.

I have seen every fight Cotto has ever been in multiple times.

I have NEVER seen him throw a straight right to the body. It's a punch he's just not comfortable throwing.

What bothers me more is when Pac was on the ropes, I didn't know why he didn't turn southpaw and shoot a straight left through Pac's gloves, right down the pipe. Cotto's got a decent straight left from the southpaw stance, really nailed Mosley with it a bunch.

          He's really frustrating sometimes.
          Indeed he is!!!!!!

I was telling this to a friend of mine before the fight that was supporting Cotto, Cotto is one dimensional in his body attack, he knows only 1 way of going to the body and if that way is taken away from him he doesn't know how to get back to the body. The hooks is just what he does, he doesn't throw straights to the body.

Cotto has a pretty good straight right upstairs too, he was able to crack both Mosley and Judah with it. It's going to be interesting to see Mayweather use that straight right that he can lead with as well.

Cotto's right is powerful depending on the opponent. I knew Cotto's right hand wasn't gonna touch Pacquiao but right then and there, he had a great opportunity to throw one down the middle. That's a luxury, Mayweather dropped Brusles and stopped Mitchell with one of those shots to the mid section. Stuff really takes the wind out of you.

Rather then Cotto's future, I'm more worried about his Punch resistance now.

Cotto is just an inferior fighter to Pac. It's that simple. He's a C-level fighter while Pac is on the elite level. Cotto could have brought his brother, father and that fat boy with him into the ring that night and Pac would have taken them all out. Cotto was always vastly overrated. Doesn't have a clear cut victory against an elite fighter.

May's gonna land it and probably at a pretty high percentage, he has a very good jab to the body also. His problem is going to be not throwing enough and not following up after a counter.

But I agree with King Tito, Cotto needs a new corner.
