I think he's just sick of constantly being ranked behind Hopkins at light heavy, especially when Bernard won't fight him.

Also, a Hopkins fight, at this point in time, is probably his biggest payday.

If Pascal wins tonight, I'm pretty sure that Dawson will fight him next.

That would likely represent the biggest fight for him.
