I don't think HBO would put up anything for hopkins-jones, but it would be a PPV. And honestly even after Jones got KO'd bhop would still make more money - lets say the PPV does 300,000, x that by $50 a pop that's $15 million, plus at gate revenue, etc.

I hope that doesn't happen but he would likely earn more money.

The economics of boxing is changing. Neither one of these guys are getting any big offers. Both need to take it.

Mayweather was making 3-4M fighting Corley, Ndou, Bruseles and Mitchell. So 3Mill to split is a very bad offer.

If they do it at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, the casino can kick in a bit more, and the gate can help (assuming Dawson gets hometown crowd).

Or, they can put it in AC and Hopkins can get a Philly crowd. Either way, they should be able to get 2-3 million per for a purse. Which ain't bad. Shane fights for that.
