THe fight with Jirov was actually pretty close to a draw. Without the KD then it's a draw, and I think Lederman had it a draw even with the KD. Very close fight. Jirov spent too much energy punching Toney's gloves, shoulders and arms- which is what Brooks was yelling for him to do- turns out it was bad advice. It won him some close rounds, by throwing alot of punches, being agressive and active, but it burnt him out for the championship rounds. So, no it wasn't a KO. Hehe. It was barely a win.
I don't really count the fight with Holy, bc that Holy didn't throw anything after round 1. He was just done. It was barely a fight- Larry Donald beat him the same way.
So yeah, I have my questions about Toney as a HW, and I think I'd favor Ruiz slightly. If he can make it a war. Ruiz is physically stronger than Toney and is usually successful at making it his type of fight. I just hope it's a good fight.
