Maybe if Cowboys and New Orleans stadiums had what Sin City provides, Schaefer may have made the trip.
Only thing I see going for Cowboys Stadium is a convertible roof top and giant screens.
If MGM gets their head together, they can come up with a way to build much bigger screens too.Comment

Whadda yah mean "biggest fight in history....."???
Perhaps by money amount, but surely not by attractiveness.
Just imagine if you had Jack Dempsey fighting in today's money grubbing climate? Or, Jack Johnson fighting a "White Hope"??Comment

I am glad I didn't want the fight in Texas no way... Is to big of a fight to be fucked up by a dumbass commission, referee, and judges.Comment

The one good thing is that we won't have to read pre-fight about how bad the Texas commission is and how bad boxing corruption in general is or even worse post-fight with potential controversy.
Vegas would be fine because its a real fight city. The only problem is that 16,000 at the MGM is lame. All the tickets will be distributed to celebrities and scalpers. If they would build the 30,000 stadium it would be great, but they won't do that because they will claim that its too cold in March (lame) and you know that they will take zero risks.
So for the biggest fight in decades we will get an empty crowd at the MGM during what will be surely be garbage undercards. Promoters just don't see the big picture. At least JJC Jr is suspended so we won't have to endure him again.
New York would be perfect, take the tax hit and make it the biggest sporting event (outside of the Superbowl/World Cup) of the year. Chicago and LA would be awesome too but you know that they won't even bother.Comment
