i was hoping to get the stadium feel for this one. Oh well. Also why does Roach like to lie so much?

Uncle Bob, you said that Manny has not signed the contract. But, but, Freddie Roach said he has and I know he is telling the truth because he Freddie never lies and a Pac worshipper posted it on the Boxing Scene message board to ridicule Mayweather for not signing.

It's really sad for the boxing fans I think... I mean MGM has 16.000... then you figure that all the celebrities get theirs... probably some cards for the sponsors... it's sad for the real boxing fan because the tickets will cost too much for the normal human being. I'm from Germany... so I can't go that fight either way but it's sad for the fans in the US.

I think that Dallas Stadium would be perfect because it has such an big screen... in other big venues you can't see **** if you are on the higher echelon... it's sad... would have been a great event I think...

I mean a promoter has always to see the whole picture and with casinons and **** MGM will generate money... but you could sell over 80.000 more tickets then MGM Grand...

Does anybody know if the fighter get some of the casino money as well?

I was really hoping this fight wouldve been held in either Nawlins or Texas as I got familia in both cities and wouldve definitely bought a ticket for the fight.....how do u have one of thee biggest fights ever and hold it in a small ass venue in LV (16000 capacity as oppopsed to 100k in TX or 80k in Nawlins)? Gayweather is really a batty boi for that one......

How is it Arum's fault? He WANTED the fight there - or at least entertain the idea of it. The Schaefer/Mayweather side is to blame for killing that idea.

One wild card this story leaves out, though, is the fact that the New Orleans SuperDOME eliminates the concern of holding the fight outside. Honestly, I can't think of a better location, being that I'm strongly against this fight landing at the MGM Grand (or really anywhere else in Vegas). Perhaps the Alamodome as well. Was good enough for Whitaker-Chavez; maybe this time, with better officials, though.

VEGAS has had a lock on Big Fights for a long long time ..... and no matter what they will always get the more favorable treatment. Sure, it would have been nice to see it in Dallas Stadium ... but in the end after the fight where do the fans go in Dallas???

Vegas has everything available for the fans and spectators alike, pre & post fight ... Very few cities can compete with Vegas. All they needed for this fight is more capacity, because 16K isn't enough and they seem to have a plan for that.

So, in the end - Dallas, New Orleans and others will get a listen ........
....... But Vegas will get the final go ahead.
