I am not arguing Floyd's greatness, I am arguing the validity of hatton as a barometer. I think an intangible could be factored in: hatton was afraid of Pacquiao, but was angry with Floyd.

It was a competitive fight but Hatton wasnt winning any rounds.

He was coming forward doing the best he could but Mayweather was all the class in the fight

Not once did Floyd look uncomfortable or out of his element, Hatton barley landed any punches on Floyd it was 7 rounds to 2 before the 10th.

Oh God. Look up how many people had Hatton winning that fight through 6 or 7 rounds. Lederman and Ronnie Shields come to mind. It wasn't a total mismatch and Ricky wasn't going out any earlier than the tenth. Ricky became so reckless because of Cortez's reffing that he got ******. With another ref, Ricky still loses but it goes to the cards.

Rewatch the fight and see if can you can make that same comment again. Floyd was in no trouble and was relaxed and focused at all times of the fight. Hatton only hit Floyd clean a couple of times. Isnt it funny that all of Floyds fights sound the same "so and so was doing good early until Floyd began to dominate". Of course they look good because Floyd doesnt study tapes so he has to adjust to what the fight does in the ring. Floyd dominated Hatton in every round except the first 3. Hatton may have won 2 rounds by sheer rough housing. Once Floyd dials in its over, just like with Chavez,Hatton, Marquez, Gatti, Judah, Corely, Brussels, Mitchell, Castillo 2, Baldomir, and Coralles. Pac will get frustrated then dominated. Good luck to Pac though.

I rewatched it a few months ago. Mayweather was tagging Hatton since the first round. 1 Judge actually had Hatton winning it, a clear wtf.

But to say mayweather carried hatton is a lie. Its another excuse for *****s for excusing the lack of floyds feather fists. See JMM. He he more power than paulie , but not as much as the true welterweights.

Yeah lederman also gave Hatton round 1, which was a clear win for Floyd, and he scored round 6 9-9, which should have been a 10-8 round.
