Carl froch is a bum.
First to be honest I think ricky flatton is a better all around fighter then froch. Nobody cares about taylor he's been a broken man after pavlik, he's damaged goods. I read statements by Carl Froch about Joe Calzaghe which to me was way out of line. Joe Calzaghe is one hundred times the fighter froch could ever be. Having said that watching Amir Khan it's apparent who is a better boxer and has more skill. Froch is going to get Ko'd by Kessler. He won't be winning anymore fights in the super six. His first fight in the super six was a fluke. Andre was scared of froch when he stood in and ****** he was a better fighter he hit harder and had way more skill. Kessler will K.O Froch in the 6th. After he fight's Arthur (which is also going to be a K.O loss for him) I believe that people are going to start advising him to retire. He will be destroyed when he fights Arthur. He beat taylor alone on taylor's gassing out issues. Froch is a bum.Comment

Why does Froch hate his countrymen so? First the squabbles with Calzaghe and now the drama with Khan.Comment

Froch is 100% jealous from Khan as he is jealous with Calzaghe. After defeating Taylor and Dirill he think himself a good boxer like Calzaghe. If he fight Calzaghe i bet Calzaghe will beat him easily. Actually Froch is a ****** person.Comment

Of course I wasn't serious about that, I was using it to highlight how people seem to hype Khan based on a whole lot of things he hasn't done and ignore of a lot of what he has done (i.e., be KTFO, fight a lot of no-hopers, featherfisters etc).Comment

Thank you. I named Sanchez as my sole example as I couldn't be bothered to reel off a long list of names.Comment

Not even remotely comparable. And considering he didn't turn pro until he was 25, and started boxing when he was 9, he had plenty of time to make a huge mark in the amateurs. Khan won an Olympic silver medal when he was only 17.
I said that having more than 15 million viewers for that fight, and > 5 million viewers per fight for his first few professional fights, together with his obvious talent, is the reason.
He's got a lot more than just fast hands. He has fast feet, good lateral movement, superb timing, great accuracy (except when he gets over-excited and gets wild, which he hasn't done for quite a few fights), good footwork, and recently, good upper body and head movement. His defence is improving rapidly as well.
He's working on his inside work but in any case, some ATGs and many Hall of Famers had poor inside work. Ali never fought on the inside. Nor did Lennox Lewis. Nor did Hearns.
Hearns is also an example of an ATG who didn't have any resilience. Terry Norris is in the Hall of Fame but was at least as chinny as Khan is. In his early career, Ali was also regarded as being very chinny; he was dropped by Banks, who was a journeyman; and if he hadn't been saved by the bell, he'd have been knocked out by Cooper, who was never a top 10 fighter in world terms, and who had a very low KO ratio.
Roach took him on because he felt that Khan has the talent to go all the way. If you really think that someone as successful as Roach would take someone on simply for the money, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
You need a new pair of glasses then.
Hands down, chin up, eyes half closed, throwing wildly, against someone whom he knew was a big puncher. Most ****** tactics I've ever seen. As for that jab, people like you get that completely out of proportion. Prescott has a hard jab, and if you don't see it coming, and if you are moving straight onto it, doubling its effective impact, then a jab can hurt. Nigel Benn was knocked out cold by a jab, and Clottey, who has an iron chin, was knocked down by one. Lots of people have been hurt by jabs. Prescott is very limited but he is a big puncher with a very solid jab.
It's a free country, but to say he's earned the right to make a prick of himself is ridiculous.
There are thousands of extremely racist anti-Khan comments all over the internet, and he has had to put up with racist booing at some of his fights. Khan was ****** to rise to it, and even ******er to say "I'd be a superstar if I were white", when he hasn't remotely achieved enough to be regarded a superstar yet - but that's naive, and ******, not disgraceful. There's nothing surprising or wrong about him objecting to the racism he's had to put up with. What is disgraceful is that he's had to put up with a lot of racism.
A limited fighter who has a big punch. And Khan has improved dramatically since then. Froch will never improve.
So it's a virtue that he's been extremely inactive, and that he spent six years fighting nobodies?
Rubbish. When you haven't fought anyone in the top 50 you don't call out the champion. You try to make fights with the Andrades or Bikas or Pascals of the world, beat someone like that and then call out the champion. Even Manfredo would have been a big step up on the guys Froch was fighting back then. He never called out anyone like them, and calling out Calzaghe back then, when he'd only fought complete journeymen or completely shot fighters up to that point, just made him look an idiot.Comment
