Made tons of money in the Holyfield fight. Enough for him to retire on. Even had a video game named after him. He got so fat he became diabetic.

He made a come back a few years ago but got KO'd after the bell, which got the other guy DQ'd.

Douglas was fed up with boxing before he fought Holyfield. He came into that fight out of shape and with little desire to win.

Yeah, he managed to get himself into fighting shape for the Tyson fight, but he just didn't have good eating and training habits, he was lazy. Sucks, he was a pretty decent fighter.

He disgraced the heavyweight title. He came into the fight woefully out of shape, got knocked down on a counter right hand, and just stayed down. He basically quit. You don't give up the heavyweight title, the most prized possession in sports, for no reason.

yeah he reminds me of bowe. bad eating habits along with no dicipline in his training. what a alot of people dont realize is that buster was dominating the whole fight against tyson.even after he got knocked down. where pretty much got a 15 count thanks to tyson not staying in his corner & the ref not continuing the count where he really left off. he was'nt just the first to knockout tyson but also the first to dominate tyson pretty much every round in his prime! what a waste of talent.

He was the first to knockout Tyson and he made all that money in the Holyfield fight, I guess he was happy and content with his accomplishments.

The guy put a terrific once in a lifetime performance against Tyson. You could say that he damaged Tyson permanently.
