My buddies in OZ reckon all the rednecks there are brainwashed into thinking Green KO'd a prime Roy Jones. None of the Ozzy papers (or Greens articles that he dictates to the West Australian) even mention RJJ was 5 losses for his last 7 fights & went into the ring to fight Green not even sweaty - meaning RJJ didnt come to fight. Funny thing is they gave Green a city parade for winning an IBO fight where RJJ lay down. They even get the stakes wrong as all the papers are saying Green wont the IBO belt by beating Green - but Green already had the cereal box title belt before the scam fight anyway. Green should call out Chad Dawson or Adamek - guys withg real titles that can fight. Otherwise **** off green, you may have control of the media in Ozzland, but the people that know what youre doing are tired of your ****
Hopkins will be one of the most dangerous opponents Green will have faced, so I disagree with your assertion that he is over the hill.

Jones was also a significantly risky fight for Green. Before the fight, very few people actually thought Green could win. Green was a considerable underdog.

True Green held the IBO belt before fighting Jones. So what. He defended and won against a great opponent. Nobody gave 2 ****s about the belt. It's the fighters who make the fight, not the belt involved.

Winning in the fashion that he did as the underdog, is cause for substantial celebration. Let him have his moment.

David Haye is cherry picking for a 45 year old, two divisions below?

but to the victor go thhe spoils.a rematch is needed to giv jones another chance to prove himself but would he giv one to green? if green lost.as for green not fin off. jones had his arms wrapped super tight round his head and was not responding to greens punches i mean seriously as soon as jones takes his hands away from his face he would hav got smashed again and just like jones danny didnt get to prove that either. if jones thinks he can beat danny ,i mean jones would know better than any of us wouldnt he? and he did not ask for a rematch what does that tell u. if he could he would. if jones did want a rematch i would believe also, who would doubt jones the great but that is based on emotion not fact. if only jones could go on winning forever and b hop too and pac and ali and joe lewis etc i believe what i saw.
True, Jones may know better, whether he should, or should not get a rematch. Sometimes, people outside do see some things the fighters do not. If he's done with Green, and the sport, then so be it. I don't expect him to hang around forever, but to me, he was moving, and punching pretty well. Guy is talented, and keeps himself in great shape. But, if it is that time, for him, so be it.

I think it would be a competitive fight. The wily old dog v a hungry power puncher. I don't buy that it would end in a Pavlik like schooling. Green is big, stong and hungry for the win.

There would be good money for Hopkins to come to Australia to fight, so that needn't be an issue. I don't blame Green for calling him out. It's his moment in the sun and the time to take advantage of that is now, whilst the Jones victory is still fresh in everybody's minds.
Yeah, Green is definitely no Pavlik. That guy is a truck.

it thought it was pretty ovious b-hop was alluding to the claims that he never fought in europe. B Hop decisions Green in an easy looking victory.

I don't much like Green but here's the deal, Green is actually not kidding himself that he beat prime a Roy Jones, or even a near prime Roy Jones, one interview I heard from him said: 'I kind of felt sorry for Roy after the fight, he's what I've aspired to be for so long, he was the best, it's great to have been able to come out and fight him and win, even at the end of his career'

He is so happy with is the fact that he came out and beat him within round one, when just about the entire boxing community gave him no shot of winning at all. People (including me) said before the fight 'Roy is far from his best, but he'll school Green, he looked solid against Lacey bla bla bla bla, Roy to get a wide UD or late stoppage.'

Fact is, everyone was wrong, everyone forgets how big a favourite Jones was for the fight, and don't tell me how shot he was, because I dare say 9 out of every 10 of you picked Jones to win. Lucky shot or not, Green did what he was told he couldn't. That's why he's so happy, I dare say you would be too.

He's now phoned B-Hop up about a challenge as he thinks the Jones/Hopkins match up is done, so perhaps Hopkins might be interested in fighting him for the chance to show where he's at compared to Jones.

Realistically Green should be offering to head to the US, it would be a massive pay day for him and would perhaps interest Hopkins, coming down under is pretty unrealistic.
