and cotto, its pretty obvious. dont fool yourself. cotto can beat ANYBODY @147, but that is if he stays out of pacs way. its frankly ****** to say cotto was no longer in his prime just because of a not so competitive clottey fight.

morales was no longer in his prime when he faced pac the second time around. but he was still near in his prime and can actually beat jsut anybody in that weight at that time, save for pac perhaps

yes hoya was very very big and therefore too dangerous for a lightweight who has fought 90% of his career at 130 and below and who hasnt even gone through junior welterweight yet. and also, HOYA BEAT FLOYD.

just because a fighter loses to someone or got KOed doesnt mean they are already shot. when you start losing to cab drivers, thats when youre shot. and going by your argument, pac is already shot when he beat barrera, JMM, morales, hatton and hoya. why? he got KOed very badly twice before.
I never said these individuals were "shot". If you read my post carefully, the word "shot" is never used in reference to anyone. I will give you hint, I have a boxing background. My body currently displays signs of years of boxing wear and tear on it. So listen to me closely, Barrera started his professional boxing career at the age of 15, in 1989. And you honestly believe, that after the wars he had with Erik Morales and company 60 fights and 18 years later. He was in his prime when he fought Pacman. So that is your belief?? SMH And the measuring stick for that is Morales, who started his professional career at 16 also, and 52 ring wars later. And no, it's not all just based on a loss. But look at the savage beating Cotto took from Margarito. A SAVAGE beating, he did not just lose dude, he was BEATEN. People do not recover from those types of beating, possibly ever. And the fight Cotto had with Clottley, was a rough foul filled contest where Cotto could have easily been stopped due to the cut above his eye. Both of these are wars that take miles and years off a fighter's career. And the De lahoya reference still stands, if Oscar was in his prime when Manny beat him, what was he when Floyd beat him? Just curious, Oscar fought manny at welter weight, a weight class he had not fought at in 7 YEARS! And you say that was a prime Oscar? I am not trying to take away from Manny's accomplishments, but facts are facts. I will not even waste my time on the Ricky Hatton example, if you can not see that for yourself, you should cease posting.

    • Pacquiao fighting Oscar at a weight (147) he hadn't fought at in 10 years was a risk?

Your sarcasm would be received better, if you used correct punctuation. Or at least a dialect that could be deciphered.

"you are breed not as fighter in the ring"
          "you look alike horses anyway"
This is an example of a public school system education.

50% of those who watches boxing are probably because of the rennaissance of manny pacman....definitely not due to floyd maywether.
and you add the boxing purists, scribes, aficionados and 75% watch and are delighted and thrilled by the style of pacman.
                therefore......MANNY PACMAN IS THE DRAW!!
very few watches floyd now....and so floyd only fights those with their entire country rooting, like pacman, hitman and marquez.

                i say to hbo:
provide two channels for the ppv.

one for manny and one for floyd.....
let's see how many will subscribe in floyd's channel!! :blow:
this is the only way to know who is who when it comes to the "real draw"
YEAH BECAUSE MANNY IS MORE EXCITING TO THOSE WHO DONT RESPECT TECHNICAL BOXING. YOUR POINT IS????? CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY IN PACLAND

He was finished physically and mentally after Margarito (Freddie Roach said as much before the fight with his charge). He looked terrible against Jennings and lost to Clottey full stop!! He took 3 or 4 times as much punishment from Margarito (in all likelyhood with loaded gloves) than from Manny before he went down. Pac practically tapped him on the chin and he got wobbly. Sounds + looks like a fighter who's best days are numbered to me.

And don't even get me started about DLH beat Floyd!! Learn to score a fight. Next you will be telling everyone here Zab beat Floyd. Floyd won easily. He took 8 rds MINIMUM (i had Floyd winning 9 rds). DLH got a split because he is DLH "The Golden Boy"!!! If it was any other fighter that night it would have been a UD to PBF.

I don't have a problem with fans giving Floyd Mayweather **** or trying to discredit him, but for the love of GOD ALMIGHTY try to use some objectivity or at least know WTF you are actually on about. Some of the assertions fans make on this forum on both sides are down right pathetic and just plain silly!!!
GOOD POST I AGREE!! LMAOOOO HE SAID DE LA HOYA BEAT FLOYD!!!!!

                  Punches:

Oscar De La Hoya: 122 of 587 for a total of 21% landed

Floyd Mayweather Jr: 207 of 481 for a total of 43% landed

                  Power shots:

Oscar De La Hoya: 82 of 341 for a total 24% landed

Floyd Mayweather Jr: 138 of 241 for a total of 57% landed

                  THESE PEOPLE ARE FUNNY!!!!

I just hope Floyd Jr. will not act like a chicken in the ring as he brags about his style & tactics but I won't take that away from him. That's him. May the best man wins like what Manny said before the Cotto fight ....

Just to clarify things, Floyd is 40-0, he doesn't have 45 wins. His fight against Pacman is his 41st, and here's something trivial:

Did you know that Sugar Ray Robinson and big George Foreman had a 40-0 record at one time? Their 41st fight? SRR lost to Jake LaMotta while big George got KTFO by Ali.

                      Floyd, are you reading this?
