Just for the record, anyone who thinks Floyd is a runner, can't think that de la hoya beat Trinidad.

Good point! I was a Trinidad fan, but I believe De La Hoya won that fight.

reports said floyd asked for 25-ft ring.
no wonder....... floyd is polishing his bike
This is nonsense. The goal in boxing is to hit and not be hit. If Pacquaio is as good as you and the other worshippers on this site think, he will have no problem cutting off the ring against Mayweather. Also, the boxers don't choose the ring size. The state commissions do. The Nevada commission requires that all fights be held in a 20-foot ring, no exceptions. This "report" either came from the empty head of the haters or from the same source as the "report" that Pac wanted a 16-foot ring against Cotto.

However, Floyd cannot capitalize Pacquiao's knock out losses as evidenced that Pacquiao can be knocked out because the knockout losses in Pacquiao's resume are not legitimate knockouts. His first knock out loss was in the hands of countryman Torrecampo. Pacquiao during the fight was ordered to wear a heavier glove because despite of weight reduction, he was still overweight. In the process, he got knockout because he was weak and wearing a heavier glove. His second knockout came at the hands of a thailander during a championship fight in thailand. He was a flyweight champion then. Again, he was so overweight that despite reduction of any means they know, he came at the weight-in overweight, hence, he was strip of the title. He continue to fight anyway without bearing on his part but a belt for the thailander should the thai win. During the fight, he appeared very weak again and not in shape to fight because he was too drained. At the third round, it appeared he could no longer continue and drop himself by a single light punch and opted to be counted out.

All such knockouts, to my opinion are not legitimate. And besides, Pacquiao then is different than the Pacquiao of today.

Looks like he was trying to get up to me!!!! Try again!

Please disregard the comments of anyone who continues to state this weak/incorrect statement...because they are simply hating.

                  1. Margarito...If you know your history or better yet your Arum history, you'd be aware that PBF was previously managed by Arum...PBF wasn't pleased with Arum because he claimed that he wasn't getting the money he thought he deserved - right or wrong, that was an issue. Everyone also mentions the 8 million dollars he was being offered to fight...Well PBF was going to be a free agent and Arum always asks for options or future fights, so he turned him down. He actually moved up and fought ODLH and made nearly three times that amount. This is easy to understand but some don't want to listen to this because they simply don't like him.

                  2. Mosley and Cotto...He has offered to fight both of these fighters - Mosley twice in his prime without any catchweight and Mosley turned him down...So how can you run from someone you've already offered to fight twice??? Cotto, or should I say Arum turned down the PBF/Cotto showdown after sitting ringside watching PBF demolish Gatti...Arum knew what would happen and he didn't have another boxer in his stable of Cotto's magnitude - At this time.

In a nutshell Margarito was more or less about Arum and not PBF and Marg - and it is my opinion that PBF would have used the same blueprint he used against Diego Corrales to defeat Margarito, Cotto and Mosley both turned PBF down...
Excellent post. I couldn't have explained it better myself. Of course, you know that logic and facts mean nothing to the haters.

You are right. However, won't it be fun to read all the excuses and all the "Mayweather is a ____________ (fill in the blank)" posts after Floyd KO's Pac. I personally can't wait.

The problem is he's only fought 2 real welterweights, Judah (in decline) and Baldomir (way past his best).

Nobody disputes that Floyd was King before he hit the welterweight division but since he arrived in it he was yet to fight one of the top established welterweights and that has disappointed a lot of fans.
