COry gunz is wack to me but uhhm...
theres alotta good artists but most of them are underground
as far as mainstream the only ones keepin it alive are Common, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli but even most of those MC's are more underground

MF Doom is an acquired taste but if you get what hes doing.. it'll blow your mind
                    Murs is dope
                    Atmosphere is dope
                    Cyne is dope
                    Little Brother is dope
                    Blu is dope

there's plenty of underground MC's to keep you lovin hip hop man

Blu and Exile's Below the Heavens.

Raekwon just released Only Built For Cuban Linx II.

Rakim just released a decent effort.

                      Mos Def's "Ecstatic."

Methodman and Redman just released Blackout 2.

Torae and Marco Polo's "Double Barrel" is good.

Common Market released an EP, as did Brother Ali.

Apathy dropped a pretty nice album, so did Blame One and MF DOOM.

People Under the Stairs did, too.

All this year except for the first one mentioned.

There's more, but I'll stop here.
