    see where this goes?

let it go. the ONLY bragging rights will be given out after march 13th.....wonder what excuses the *******s and haters will come up with then...

oh yeah, "march was too soon...."
Even before Floyd, after the loss to BHOP.

Hatton was already exposed prior to Floyd. He struggled against Collazo. But he was embarrassed though after hitting the ring pole w/c aggravated the effect of the left hook from Floyd.

Even Pacman is also a damage goods, he has 3 losses.

If you think Floyd can't see a cross coming from a south paw, then just turn off your computer, and never return to this site again.

Probably true, but as I said, it was just an example. It might end up like Duran-Leonard 1.

manny is more exciting, and a bigger puncher...but despite being a bigger puncher, what advantages does he really hold over floyd? defense? ability to "adapt" during a fight? ring smarts? no, no, and no.
Several advantages, especially being southpaw. And power is a great one because he's super fast with it.

I tried to focus on the less obvious things such as mental strength, but I dunno, maybe you overlooked. Since boxing is at least 50% mental, this plays a big part. Pacquiao-Cotto was all about mental strength. One thing about Pacquiao is it's almost impossible to tell what he's thinking in the ring -- this is confirmed by Shawn Porter on these forums -- because he doesn't show emotion even if hurt, tired, happy, whatever. Things like this can't be underestimated, it can break a fighters mind if their punches are seemingly ineffective.

I would say Pacquiao's speed is at least equal, or maybe greater. Floyd's speed in single shots is real nice. Pacquiao frequently throws lightning fast combos, in fact his whole body is fast. Ground-eating footwork is cool as hell, and the ability to close gaps quickly is phenomenal. Both have great footwork, but the styles are very different. It'll be interesting to see it all blend.

In terms of advantages, what one lacks he makes up for elsewhere. It's a pretty even fight, IMO.

i hear what you were alluding to, but comparing paulie-hatton to mayweather-pac is a reach. in this case floyd is considered better skilled, AND the overall better fighter....hence why he will come in as the betting favorite.
You missed an important part of my post where I specifically stated that I wasn't comparing any of those fighters, but merely using that fight as a reference point.

I sincerely hope this isn't ALL Freddie Roach has to go off of to prepare Manny Pacquiao for Floyd Mayweather

Will an aggressive Pac coming forward with non stop pressure beat Mayweather's counter defensive style?

Mayweather will adjust. This will be a cat and mouse game of chess. Who's the smarter fighter is what everyone should be asking......
