Floyd needs to throw combos to win this fight. I think he does get outworked if he just throws one counter at a time, he has to follow it up. People always compare JMM and Floyd, saying Floyd is a super JMM; and if JMM gave Pacquiao problems imagine what Floyd will do!

But JMM is much more offensively minded than Floyd is, he was throwing combos all night, even backing up Pacquiao in a few rounds. I don't think Floyd can potshot his way to a 'W' this time.

actually it can be disputed. Mayweather is going to box when he has to and fight when he has to. He is actually a good fighter when he gets in a dog fight. I am so glad this fight was made because the world will finally get to see how gifted this guy really is. He is the smartest technical fighter in boxing. He don't have to go back to his corner to make adjustments. He make them on the fly and this will be the difference in this fight. The only shock value in this fight will be when mayweather knocks pac out. Everything pac has earned up to the day of the fight mayweather will strip him of.

I would argue Manny doesn't do well in front of counter-punchers who throw combos, not single shots. To beat Pacquiao, you need to attack and hurt him. Mayweather does not compare to Marquez and Morales, they are completely different. Floyd at WW = low output, rarely throws a combo.

As for "looping and winging" punches... are you for real? Manny's straights are dynamite. Right down the pipe, straight as an arrow.

This is a valid argument however, Floyd pot shotted his previous opponents to victory because he simply could. Mayweather is a defensive first type of fighter but he adjusts on the fly with every opponent. If the need arises to throw combos, you can bet your ass he will.
