Pacquiao's defense. Pbf's offense is actually great in the lower weights. If he would use it, we got FOTY material because he would open up more and give pac more opportunities.

      its a valid question

PAC does have a tendency to get hit when he gets over anxious or when he decides to turn up the heat...however, whether PAC realizes it or not, when he engages and get's hit, that also provides openings for his own attack

would he need to tighten up his defense? not if it means completely compromising his offense...but there are spots where he's not engaging and still getting hit...he and freddie need to improve that aspect of his game

when he's going balls out and tryin to lure his opponent into a firefight, that's part of the compromise...he does leave himself open at time

as for Floyd, its not necessarily 'improving' his offense rather, expanding on it....as brilliant as he is defensively, a jab followed by a potshot is not enough to command PAC's respect nor reduce the angles that he comes in

floyd's gonna have to let his hands go in spurts to keep PAC honest

so to answer the question, they both do...PAC needs to limit his vulnerable spots and Floyd's gonna have to keep his output beyond the pedestrian pace that he prefers
      great post

Pacs defense. Mays lack of offense never really hurt him. Pacs lack of defense has.
