Queston for True Boxing Fans Only

A true boxing fan would say "I would like to see both"...like me.
A great fight with two no names is a great fight regardless of the names and two big names is still good to watch because you learn where the fighters are , as far as weaknesses, strengths and so forth.

Would you rather see a great fight between to unknown fighters or a ****ty fight between to "name" fighters???? why?

since im a fan of the sport long before im a fan of any specific fighter, im ALWAYS all for a great fight.....

the names make it interesting and relevant to an extent... but the fight, the action inside the ropes, is what makes me a fan

Dude you are missing my point.....just cuz you know who they are doesn't mean they are "name fighters"........im sure in their country they all know who they are.....if you are true boxing fan you know who they are.......but that doesn't make them "name fighters"....and there are tons of champions right now that are not name fighters.......good fighters sure.....some even great fighters....but they are widely "unknown"...come on now dawgy.....you better than that........

If someone is a WBA champ, I'd hardly call them unknown.

Just because people don't know them. I mean who really is known if you wanna go that route, Tyson, DLH, maybe a few others.


I think unknown fighters are prospects or journeymen that people haven't seen.

I like any kind of good fight to answer your question, and I've suffered through plenty of crappy fights with unknowns, and caught a few good ones too.

I don't mean to diss on your topic at all. It just annoys me what's considered a name or not.
I mean Cotto may be a name but he's not a DLH type name, or Pac but he's not a Tyson type name. The average man in the street would know DLH but wouldn't know Cotto, maybe think he was Trinidad or something.

But I won't quibble.

Right now both. I watch fights regardless who is on as long as I got the time. I even go through some 1-0-0 and 1-2-0 fighters go at it. But if you want me to choose, then a great fight between unknown fighters. Nothing gets my adrenaline pumping more than when I see a great exchange.
