I've always wonders about this bout and just can't see Hearns not getting knocked out.Now you would think that Hearns being such a marvelous boxer that he would simply outbox benn wouldn't you? but if Tommy ever was vulnerable then it was at 160 and above.Roldan rocked him as did Leonard a few times in their rematch,barkley knocked him out and Kinchen had him in trouble throughout their fight(his legs were pretty much gone after Kinchen knocked him down)

both have suspect chins,but benn always recovered better than Hearns IMO,Tommy often fought on through sheer will,heart and determination and if Nigel hurt him(which he more than likely would at one point) then none of that is going to count for anything.


Not to mention Tommy couldn't resist a right old tear up.

I'm not sure who take this. Nigel is a legit MW & SMW while Hearns started as WW. When Hearns moved-up to MW he lost to Barkley & Hagler by KO.

I think, I would pick on Benn.

Benn was most dangerous when he was hurt, would have been a great fight that could go either way, but I'd pick Benn

I have to pick Benn, he did have a shaky chin, but he was knocked out of the damn ring by G-Man and got up and carried on fighting! I just think it would turn into a tear up and then its Benn's fight.

hearns is a million times superior, benn struggled with eubanks boxing skills what the hell is he gonna do with hearns? the man who outboxed leonard, benitez and virgil hill. not to mention he can crack to say the least. no way ben can handle the speed, skills and power..

It would only be a matter of time before Benn caught that chin of Hearns. Great fight, could go either way to be honest. I'd favour Benn over Hearns though.
