    Genuine question.

I believe it might have been the latter. He thought Hatton would beat Pacquiao and set up another huge (but easy) payday.
I think he came back for the winner, because he did say after the DLH fight that he wanted to fight him (well it was reported). And he did say that if Hatton beat Manny he would of earned a rematch which in fairness he would have done.

I just think it was for the winner.

He came back for cash plain and simple, though wtf he is gonna do when he runs out of what he makes in this comeback is anyones guess,as he doesnt have the charisma or ability to make big cash away from boxing.

No! Can't wait! At first I was semi-concerned that ManPac wouldn't be getting enough time off between fights, since it'll be 3 megafights within the space of 10 months by the time he fights Floyd, but he says he'll be fine. So no worries.

Not dumb at all, it's a genuine question. I would have done the same if I was him, come back and grab millions for an easy night's work against Ricky. Why not.

I'll support my favorite fighters, as always. I still like ol' Slappy the Semi-Disabled Welsh Sheep Shagger and the Kangaroo Gigantic Bunny Rabbit Nightmare Style. Hard to **** wid it.

Possible, but if Hatton had beaten Pacquiao, Manny would slip down the list and Hatton would move up. By beating Hatton again (if Hatton was top 4-5 at least) he'd probably jump into first place. Marquez was never gonna pose any problems, so he'd have beaten the #2 as well.

I don't think so. I think he came back for Pacquiao. Not many people thought Hatton would beat Pacquiao and I don't think Floyd did either. Not to mention that he didn't even come back until well after the Hatton/Pac fight. I don't recall Floyd announcing his comeback way back in May before Hatton lost.

I thought he came back on the same day the Pacquiao-Hatton fight happened?

If i recall correctly, Mayweather said he was leaning towards Pacman in the Hatton fight.

Mayweather came back for Manny, why you sweating it? lol

Not sweating anything. Why does anyone think I'm sweating? You guys are funny. I mean, I couldn't be any more happy, sitting in my chair listening to music, talking about boxing with you.

Anyway -- this is the exact post I was waiting for -- "Mayweather said he was leaning towards Pacman in the Hatton fight".

Mayweather would say that, wouldn't he? If he'd openly predicted a Hatton win I'd be even more convinced he came back to fight Ricky.

I think he cameback for the biggest money fight available to him, I dont think anyone who isnt Hatton's relative or a nuthugger or a Pacman hater would pick Hatton over Pac to be honest.
