While I agree with you that Pac has a lot of heart and determination
and has improved, Mayweather was on another level elite wise while
Pac was fighitng with one hand. I give props to Pacquiao but I think
Floyd distracts many with his mouth and they forget how great he really
is in the ring. I remember before Gatti, I hated on Mayweather too,
thought he was overrated but once he put on a display in the ring
against a man that was known for his wars I became a fan because
it was a remarkable performance. Instead of me hating more on Floyd
by discrediting Arturo Gatti (RIP) I recognized how good Floyd was/is.
I have watched many if not all of his fights professionally and he is
a very good fighter/Boxing. The guys he fought were tough, determined
and good but Mayweather was just better PERIOD. How can people
say Zab was a bad win for Floyd because Baldomir beat him but then
give credit to Cotto for beating Zab? I watched that Zab fight and Floyd
put on another great performance. I didn't only look at what Zab did early
but saw what Floyd did and it was a beat down. My point is, people
should stop hating on fighters and just see it for what it is. I bet
against Pac because of his flaws in the ring not because of him personally.
I just call it how I see it and that's the way it should be and not making
up excuses and robbing fighters/boxers of their achievements.

i'd love to see manny ko floyd but i don't think it will happen. Floyd is a bigger man, he can't/won't make 147 anymore. He's a junior middleweight now.
If mayweather fought and beat the winner of super six, he's p4p best (like he thinks he is). In the meantime he needs to stop picking on little/over-the-hill guys and blowing his own trumpet.
Floyd will problay beat manny but this doesn't mean he is better, just bigger.

I don't know man. Do you think that Freddie Roach will have enough
time to get Manny into a different rythm before March? And most
importantly, one that can be effective against Floyd? Manny has been
dominating his past fighters and Roach still says Manny has to change
that style up to beat Floyd. Sure Manny can learn on his own but if
you really look at it from a whole, Manny has been fighting the same
way he has before but just against slower fighters with no defense.
Not taking anything away from Manny because he has gotten stronger
but when was the last time he fought someone with the skill of Marquez?
None of his fighters displayed any defense but instead opted to exchange
and try to bully Manny. Name one time that Floyd ever compromised
himself to fight another fighters fight? Roach knows that Manny will
have to fight Floyd's fight and not the other way around and trying
change Manny up at this stage after being so dominate with
his style now, may prove to be a bad move.

I see where you are coming from and I definitely believe that shortened time will be a mejor factor in Manny's preparation. That being said - and I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, guaranteeing a Manny victory - I think the game plan will be in place by March 13 and Manny will be in very good shape. I can't say excellent yet because although Manny dominated Cotto the latter inflicted some real punishment the former. Manny looked good right after the fight but we saw how his face bruised up by the time of the post-fight presser and the damage done to his ear.

In other words, there are a lot of questions sorrounding Manny but there are also many sorrounding Mayweather. When was the last time that he faced a fighter with the skill set of Manny? When was the last time that he had to face adversity and was forced to overcome it? When was the last time he couldn't just play around with another fighter? What will happen when Manny hits Floyd? How will Floyd respond when his punches don't keep Manny at a distance? And what will happen when he faces a fighter that may be just as fast as he is? All interesting questions.
