But... and here's the big thing here:

We can believe all we want. We've got good reason for it. But there's nothing definite, and the circumstantial evidence wouldn't hold up beyond a reasonable doubt.

Just because Margarito had a stain on his hand wraps post-Cotto -- and just because the wrap Margarito had on for the Mosley fight had a similar stain -- does not mean that Margarito had plaster of Paris on for Cotto. The tampering could've taken place after the Cotto fight, with the plaster being added to the pad/wraps anytime between the Cotto fight and the Mosley fight.

Do I believe that? No. But one cannot just point to a stain in one picture and a stain in the other picture and say "It must be so."

And when HBO points to the pink, says the pink was the plaster of Paris, then, after the segment, says one of its producers says the plaster of Paris wasn't pink, then they've just undercut their own point. And throw in the pink stain on Diego Corrales post-Castillo, and we get more questions than we have answers.

At no point am I excusing Margarito or proclaiming his innocence. Rather, I'm saying the latest indictment had flawed logic, and the Corrales picture raised my eyebrows.

Again, do I think Margarito had tampered hand wraps in other fights? It makes sense. But we can't prove it.
I think what he did was unforgivable... it's pretty much an attempt on somebody's life. If it happened in the Cotto fight... nobody knows.

I mean I think that he lied when he said that he ain't felt nothing before the Mosley bout because he wanted to get reinstated sometime down the road. Because if that would be true it would mean that he always had them... if his hands with that **** in it felt as usual to him.

What it comes down to is HBO again playing god. Let's face it they are more or a less the face of boxing. What this says is simply that HBO is still a place for Cotto but not for Margarito if he should get reinstated... I don't think after calling him out like that with obvious intent that they want him on their network which pretty much kills his big paydays.

Is it fair? Until now it ain't fair if they used for the Cotto fight... it ain't proven but I can't feel any sympathy for him on this one... like said he tried to cheat or does anyone thing that he wozuld have taken it out before the bout started... cheater is a cheater and he should get what he deserves but not everything a cheater does must be a cheat (Cotto fight)

LOL @ the writer calling the ring announcer in the Hopkins fight a revived David Carradine. I described him as Dustin Hoffman had a kid with Larry Merchant.

Cheating, as the punishment for cheating, happens in degrees and circumstance. A low blow can be glancing or direct, accidental or blatant. The consequences can't always be death, but severe enough to deter the cited behavior. If the act of cheating helped Margarito win, and I believe it did, then allowing him to fight, without cheating, will only get him beat again, and I believe he will get beat. Boxers are allowed to hand out thier own form of justice.

              The ******ity is unbelievable.

I think they obviously just saw the name Margarito, saw something pertaining to actually asking a question about the wraps instead of just believing what HBO say and so think you're defending him, instead of reading the article and trying to figure out what you were even saying.

This is a boxing forum though, so you can't expect too many brain cells to be floating around.

If you morons don't have a problem with Mosley juicing up and Cheato Trinidad fighting with casts, then I sure have no problem with El Tornado.
                  ****ing hypocrites.

Can't wait til Margarito returns. He'll dominate again. The reason he lost to Juice was because Margo was dehydrated.... or Mosley was just juiced up again. Lol

I'm sick and tired of people talking about Margo ruined Cotto. Well, Cheato Trinidad ruined Fernando Vargos with low-blows and fighting with a ******** cast.
Jesus, you people are just ******** ******ed.

                  Margo 2010, baby. FTW

I wonder does "Chorizo" mean dumbhead?? There was NOTHING wrong with Trinidad's hand wrappings. "the storm in a teapot" occurred because Hopkins' guy was late and Trinidad had one fist wrapped by the time he got there. The Commission inspector was there right from the beginning.

To make a shoirt story long, Papa Trinidad unwrapped the fist, then he wrapped it ahgain the very same way. Later he gave a video demonstration of exactly how he ALWAYS wraps fists......for all his fighters.

It's hard to imagine that there are still guys out there who cling to the Trinidad cheat story. Only last week, on this very site was the whole megillag of Trinidad's wraps explained, and again, only about a month ago as well.

                    So, guys.......get over it.
