Chambers is good but he is too small. I would be shocked it he gives Wlad any trouble in this fight.

Chambers layoff isn't something to worry about, it's actually a smart move for him because he shouldn't risk his title shot. Unfortunately Wladimir is injured so the fight will be in March. Tavoris Cloud had a one year layoff and looked outstanding beating Clinton Woods. Chad Dawson had a long layoff before fighting Tomasz Adamek and he won the title.
i see your point but all of those guys are always in shape and always ready to fight.

Chambers has had problem in the past with weight and thats really where my concern comes from. if he can get his weight low like he did for the Dimitrenko fight then he will be fine. but then again Wlad would have a huge weight advantage on him.

if Chambers wouldnt have won on the cards then Germany shouldnt be allowed to have world boxing events. He beat Dimitrenko impressively with a knockdown to add. I dont think Chambers if he goes to a decision will look way ahead of Wlad because i dont think anyone can look good against the guy. So IMO chambers needs a knockout to win in Germany.

Chambers is a very good fighter.

He isn't good enough to beat Wlad though imo.

        Wlad by decision.

Risk his title shot, eh? Afraid he might lose? Sounds like he isn't ready to go out and beat the #1.

To say that Chambers can simply beat any top 10 heavyweight would be an overstatement. He EARNED his shot at the title and he's getting it, he doesn't need to do anything anymore.

He seems motivated and he does possess a good skill set. I think it COULD go the distance if Chambers gets a good gameplan and sticks to it. I expect Wlad to win though, probably late KO.

I'm rooting for Chambers all the way though

chambers will be the best wlad has fought in a long time, i'm really excited to see this fight. chambers is like a prime chris byrd with a little more power but he's not as mentally strong as byrd ( this is why he won't win the fight ). eddie has the style and the skills to really give wlad problems, if he was mentally tougher i could even see him knocking wlad out late, but he'd have to take a beating to do it

He isn't mentally as strong as Byrd, but he does a lot of things better than Byrd. For one he hits harder, two his offense is much better, and three he's better at blocking and slipping punches. Byrd does have better foot movement and he's a southpaw, but despite their differences they are also very similar.

Well to be honest he re-earned it after intially failing to earn it by losing to Povetkin in the IBF eliminator.
