Martinez's performance was a pleasant surprise

I honestly didn't expect such a performance from a guy that got stopped by Margarito, even though the fight was 9 years ago and who'd fought to a draw with Cintron
He looked the real deal last night... and I would favour him in a rematch at 154
The guy is lightning, throws hard punches, brilliant timing and exciting to watch
Hopefully he gets a rematch, or another high profile matchup soon.

People say he was green against Margacheato
but if you saw the Cintron-Martinez fight you would know Martinez dominated and hit Cintron so hard Cintron thought it was a headbutt
I like martinez, pretty boy who ****s hard no ****

The guy is a skilled fighter so no surprises there but where has he been all the ******** time is my question.

I'd like to see Pavlik in against either.

If you seen the Buneka, Cintron fights, you knew what Sergio was capable of. Only thing that surprised me was that he was able to hurt Williams that badly. I knew he could punch, but didn't think he had the power to knock Williams down with one shot.

It was expected in my eyes. He had all the tools to give Williams a tough fight. I was surprised Williams was so favored, I believe 3:1 in at least one boxing line I saw.

This fight was the best thing to happen at around 154 since Floyd-Oscar
A rematch at the 154 limit could be even more explosive.

I was more surprised with his CHIN..he took some shots..and the one to knock him down was a bad step with a hit to the back of the head..

I already knew he was slick, with underrated power..but never knew he could take those kind of shots!!..

agree with most that you said.
but you didn't mention anything about williams ineptness when fighting leftys. just like in will/quintanaI williams was missing by half an inch. like he needed glasses.
and dang was will a sucker for the right jab.

if martinez had more power in his punches he'd be leading the pack at ltmiddle.
