Williams NOT OVERRATED-MARTINEZ IS THAT GOOD

I had previously predicted Williams to win a very close fight; which in fact happened. People will now say that Williams is overrated. I think the other side of the coin; martinez is that good. Sergio is very techincal durable fighter. He is one of the best argentine born fighters in a long time, he is much better than Baldomir.

I did have Williams winning by one point. I felt he pulled out the last RD and round 11 was even. In Willaims defense he was mentally prepared to fight Pavlik and this was scratched. Williams likes to fight and give fans what they want-ACTIOn. I knew this would be candidate for fight of the year while many thought Cotto vs Pac, i am sure there will be a rematch and Williams will be much better next time.

pwill won a close fight to me but people are ****** that say he was expose martinez is damn good he would beat cotto, clottey, pac, marquez he was very skilled and his hand speed was crazy. people think cause he got a late start he was no good but when u have handspeed like that it doesnt matter. but pwill is true champ p4p the best the comp speaks for it self. i wanna see him fight mayweather or pac next for the p4p crown. i also would love to see him fight james kirkland when kirkland get out. i think thats a another classic fight right there.

They aren't real boxing fans if they said Williams has been exposed. Obviously they don't know how good Sergio Martinez really is because they don't follow boxing. Williams beat a very good and super skilled Martinez and Williams showed that he has a ton of heart and very good chin and keeps coming and coming even when things get hairy.

        I agree with you.

Sergio is just that good, in fact if he and Margarito would fight now Sergio would knock that azz out.

still doesnt change my prediction about Williams vs Pavlik....Pavlik by KO in mid rds

Yes Sergio is the real deal and deserves a rematch and/or another high-profile fight...I had it a draw

some people overlooked sergio and overhype william to run thru sergio. paul had some of the same problem he had in quintana fight last night. that was a great fight though

Thank u 4 this thread martinez and williams both were avoided by big names.everybody forgets that the late vernon forrest was stripped of his title for avoiding martinez for years .williams should more credit for beating and even stepping in the ring with tough fighters like margarito (palstered)winky and martinez , fighters that no one wants to fight ,he climbing the ranks the hard way

I pretty much already mentioned that in another thread.

It's tough to look good against an excellent and elusive fighter like Sergio Martinez. Despite what we might think about the scoring, Paul deserves credit for the win against such a quality fighter. I think Williams's victory against Sergio is a notch on his belt.
