do u think it help or hurts his case giving something that u didn't know bout pwilll was the heart of a Champion
lets see if big names go after him now
Why did Cotto say no
Why did Margarito blatantly duck the rematch
Why did Mosley straight up say no
Why does Pacman think he can beat Margarito yet not Williams
P Will needs to fight bigger guys....his size..
we are all aware he is bigger and taller than mayweather & pac
does he have more skills?....HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you know what Pacman is thinking now. Pac will fight anybody as long as the money is there to be made. A Pac vs. Margarito would have made a lot more than a Pac vs P. Will at the time Pacquiao wanted to Margarito before Margs got spanked by Mosely.
When you throw 100+ punches a round, you're going to be hit a massive amount. Martinez proved that, and he also proved what I felt all along that Williams can't handle at least decent power. Sure, the guy was taking punches from WW's and a soft handed Winky Wright, and really Martinez doesn't even have much power, but there is a reason Williams only wants to fight at 147. If Pavlik tags him he may very well be put to sleep, and if he moves up to 168 and takes on AA, Kessler, Ward or the worst match up possible for him in Hopkins he'll be completely outclassed.
The most feared man in boxing... Lets be real guys, when you're 6'2" calling out guys that are 5'7" and you have a double digit reach on them, whether you can make the weight or not, the fight is a mismatch. I don't blame guys like Cotto, Mosley, Pacman, Mayweather or any WW for avoiding a fight with him. Williams can't draw for **** and at BEST he'll make them look bad simply because of his size. Not to mention once they step into the ring and people see the size difference if Williams does win it'll simply be based off his size and not for his skill. He needs to stay at 160 and do something there, but as we saw last night, he can't even do that. I've been calling him hyped and overrated since I can remember, and last night proved it. Even though I saw it as a close fight, the fact is that he will only ever be able to move DOWN in weight to be dominate, not up. The guy may very well be the best 154 or 160 pounder, however, Yahoo has him as 3 P4P... the guy shouldn't even be top 5. He should be bottom at the bottom if on there at all, he doesn't have the resume to even have in the top 10 IMO.
The logic of the thread is flawed. Regardless of how the fight went last night, he was the most feared man in boxing. And after what Martinez and Williams both did last night, I wouldn't be surprised to see them avoided again after showing their chin and heart.
So Paul Williams is not the most feared man in boxing simply because another feared guy in boxing just had an amazing fight with him? Great logic!
He is still the most feared man in boxing. You talk about him picking on smaller people than him, but Kelly Pavlik just ducked him and Kelly Pavlik is his size? None of the other middleweights want a piece of him...none of the welterweights or light middleweights wanted a piece of him other than Martinez...let's just say Martinez has balls.

yea im sure williams made all the 160lbers shake in their shoes last night. I mean martinez is a HUGE puncher and williams was taking them like pebbles being thrown at him. Williams has a great chin! i mean a 154 soft hitting martinez slamming him was nothing for williams. If pavlik hit him with a right williams would laugh at him!

Well lets hope that seeing Martinez having success against Williams will help give Pavlik the confidence of actually going in and fighting Williams then? Rather than complaining about not being able to clench his fist, then a week later signing to fight a bum. You know very well that Martinez is an excellent boxer and him and Paul Williams just had an awesome fight...why are you complaining? And just because Sergio Martinez has the guts to go in and fight Paul Williams, doesn't mean other 154-160lbers do. No one in them two weight classes other than Martinez want anything to do with Paul.
