Great post. Paul Williams is a very very good fighter. But he is not an elite fighter yet. He needs to learn to either slip or catch punches. He also could refine his body work and his footwork. He has some huge built in advantages obviously but I still think he is an unrefined product and that Peterson has taken him as far as he can take him. That is no knock on Peterson aas I think he has done a tremendous job. But I believe every fighter must graduate through their amateur coach to world class trainers at some time.

Cotto never said no. Arum had bigger fights and money for Cotto in Mosley, Margarito. Cotto never picks his opponents and Williams is not a draw and he doesn't have a big time promoter so you can't expect him to get big money fights.
