Outside of the fact that 10oz give more hand protection, it also covers more area, so punches would less likely slip through, that's another reason Mo**ey Mayweather wants the 10oz'ers. Grant sizes compared to others weighing the same seem bigger, definitely the cuffs are longer, that's another added protection from punches.
