Because he was the manadatory to Kotelnik and Kotelnik beat him, then he fought Ortiz to become the interim champ but by that time Salita was the no.1 mandatory and Maidana was the interim champ

Khan has improved massively since going with Roach,but Ariza deserves a mention too,as he has cut that body builder look and improved Khan's all round speed and flexibility. I wouldnt be surprised if Khans ability to take a shot has improved to,as his rigidity in that earlier phase in his career was a serious problem,he didnt roll with the punches at all. Maidana is a very good fighter and a seriously dangerous opponent for any fighter at the weight,not just Khan.

The most interesting thing for me though,is this talk of Khan hype. I find this quite ironic because who was touting Maidana as a destroyer before the Ortiz fight? Maidana has been the beneficiary of quite a lot of hype since then himself!

I see this as a distance fight with Khan winning a ud in a competitive fight.

Henry was a great player and i do respect him, but he did cheat in the match and the Irish got robbed.

Henry IS a great player, one of the finest ever to have played. He didnt cheat, all he did was to run with the ball and it was bouncing everywhere andaccidently hit his hand. France were the better team over the two legs, they have a better chance of winning, more people would tune in to see France, would you rather see Henry at the world cup or Kevin Doyle? lol

anyway back to the topic.

When/If Khan and Maidanna fight i will be putting a whole load of money on Khan winning by stoppage. Khan is too strong, too powerful for Maidanna. Plus moving up in weight has given him better punch resistant
