I think that most of us would want to watch these guys get together again - so together I think both their marketability went up. How much did the fights with Ward do for Gattii. I think they could put a trilogy together and make money and people would love it.

Out of all the fights I listed as gift decisions I think the only one that you could make a case of where the right guy won was the Pacquiao-JMM rematch. I've never seen the Reid-Calzaghe fight.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Those people are not true boxing fans and they post the same biased hating garbage every day here. Their opnions deserve the least respect let alone a response.

He whipped Kermit Cintron pretty easily on HBO. Knocking him down for a 10 count. After that was unexplainably reversed they fought on to a disgraceful "draw". The guy can fight and is one of the best p4p in the world. He's a world champ at 154. His only loss was to Margarito almost 10 years ago. And who's to say Margarito wasn't loading his gloves then? I really don't understand the criticism foR Williams after he took on one of the best in the world and won a close, tough, fight. Actually I do understand it when I see who's posting it.

Everybody needs to Realize that the 2 BEST Junior Middleweight FOUGHT eachother tonite. These are the two Best 6 Pounds below where they fought.
Martinez is a Great Underrated fighter that is a "CHAMPION" and the haters try to make it seem that Martinez is a BUM or a Journeymen. Martinez hasn't Lost in over a decade and THey both brought the best out of Eachother last night. Haters will hate, but the hating for Paul Williams is getting out of hand.

"He isn't what everybody made him to be." is complete bull****.
"He isn't the most feared in boxing anymore" is complete bull****.
"Freezing 3 divisions, yea right. he is a bum" is complete bull****, nobody at 147 wanted to fight him, 154 i could see Martinez fighting him to defend his belt, other then that who else is their at 154 that could hang with Paul? 160, Pavliks gay ass hand infection. Now he could fight a couple weeks after he wanted to reschedule??? Nobody still wants to fight Paul, and i hope somebody finally gets the balls to go in the ring with him because he is in his Physical Prime.

I thought Williams fought great last night. I also think he is starting to lose his durability. That is to be expected though with his give and take fighting style. He still has a ton of heart that will carry him on some more.

I just think the years of weight class jumping, taking too many shots etc is catching up to him.

When he does eventually lose, this place will be filled with "overrated" crap being spewed out from everywhere. So many just don't understand that many fighters just have short primes.

People should enjoy fighters like him, Cloud, Pavlik, Pascal, Froch, Cotto, Pacquiao, Mosley, Hatton, and countless Mexican warriors. More often than not, they are not here for a long time. Some break the rules of averages, some don't.

                Dawson vs. Johnson 1

                JMM vs. Pac 2

Cotto vs. Mosley and Cotto vs. Clottey

So does this mean that Paul Williams is a garbage fighter just because of a couple of judges being a little bit generous to him. I can definitely see Williams winning the fight too because it seemed like Sergio was done at the end and he was initiating clinches like crazy. I thought that kind of ruined the fight a little bit. Because when I saw that, I thought to myself this fight is gonna go the distance for sure. Williams acted like he wanted it more, and that to me, was the difference.
                wasn't a "gift" decision....was a close fight, that could've went either way.

as a williams fan, his stock went down IMO, while sergio's went up. i thought williams beats anybody from 147-160, and gives mayweather problems. after last night, i'm sure mayweather beats him, and makes him look really bad while doing so. i also think pacman beats williams.

i want a rematch tho. NOTHING was settled last night. i'd like to see these guys fight again, after having a full training camp to prepare for on another. let's not forget, BOTH guys took this fight with a month to prepare for the other.

You could also make in the Cotto fights that the right guy won, you can make a case in the Shane-Oscar fight that the right guy won, you can also make a case in the Dawson-Johnson fight were the right guy won.

Williams stock should of gone up imo.

He fought a fighter who stylistically should cause him hell but he was able to be competitive and edge out a close win.

Martinez's shock has really gone up.

Cotto - Mosley was a bad example might i add. Cotto won that fight quite clearly.

Cotto - Clottey was alot closer.

I don't think Pac and Floyd have the same style as Martinez... Styles makes fights bro... IMO neither of them beat. I know for sure Williams gives anybody hell from 147-160.
