Martinez is an entertaining SLICK boxer

He fought most of the fight with his hands down.
Rarely held, just used good movement.
Countered nicely. And mixed it up at times.

This is what slick boxing is all about.

    Kudos to you Martinez

    ..hope Dirrell was watching

As Dawson fan, I can say that I wish he would take more risks at times, but I can understand when he doesn't. at the same time, there are fighters that make you fight no matter how slick you are and Williams is one of those fighters,

I made this same remark after the Bute Andrade II fight and got blasted for it.

Apparently alot of Americans think slick = having to fight like a *****.

Bute & Martinez are perfect example of slick fighters but they don't run, fight and are exciting.

Floyd for the most part, Dirrell ,Dawson alot of other Americans seem to embody the other kind that get confused with 'slick' and don't understand why people don't enjoy watching their fights.

You can be both slick and exciting while also fighting

It's all a matter of opinions to be fair.

To you, Dirrell might fight like a *****, but is entertaining to others.

but isnt it also a matter of skills or ability?

Williams was on Martinez like a cheap suit yet he was able to perform well, countering, attacking, using movement.

Dirrell was in there with Froch who can **** but please..he was in reverse or fleeing the situation nearly the whole fight.

It seemed like Randy Neuman had to break them up every five seconds at times during the bout. This was true especially when it got down to the later rounds. And it wasn't Paul Williams initiating those clinches.

So you're saying that Dirrell's performance was especially poor since he is far more skilled than Froch (serious question, not being a smartass)?

Ultimately, like I said, what's considered entertaining is a matter of opinion.

Yeah and Williams never held on for dear life in the whole fight. Or at least I didnt see it. hehe

Seriously Im talking about holding as a tactic, it wasnt abused like Ward and other so called slick fighters abuse it. I can see two fighters holding as a fight like this one continues into the latter rounds.

Anyone that watched his coming out party against Bunema should have already known this.

The reason the Cintron fight was boring is because Cintron was holding constantly and because he had a stance where southpaws are more reluctant to throw.
