Paul Williams was hit more in one fight than Floyd has been hit in his
whole career. I think it is safe to say now that Williams being the
biggest threat at 147 is over?

Man, you seem like one of those jockey fans of Paul Williams, no offense. I made a thread earlier about posters like this. Martinez has a pretty good D, and I doubt too many fighters would've had an easy time connecting on him. Williams has got nothing to be ashamed of. That one judge that had it 119-110 needs to smash a river float.

yeah paul pulled it out barely in my book...the fight was damn near even...but i had paul winning the last two rounds...bringing him up to willing 7 to 5...martinez is a great fighter...dude is a beast and was really able to catch williams with some impressive shots...he's also pretty elusive...paul missed A LOT...with that being said...i think mayweather would destroy him...mayweather is faster and more elusive than martinez...won't stand and trade...and will not waste punches like martinez did...i got a lot more respect for martinez...but i'm not so sure if williams is still the only person to make mayweather look bad anymore...

I am not a jockey fan. I like Paul Williams but my point is.
If two slick fighters like Quintana and Martinez could get
into Paul, then what about Floyd? Then I went to asked
the question is it really safe to say that he is a threat at 147?
and that's why the ? is there. I actually picked Paul Williams
to win in this fight and was right eventhough people are crying
              foul, he still won.

I wish this fight ended in a KO even though I was rooting for Williams regardless. But maybe it's better that didn't happen so we can be on the look out for a messed up judge. I feel like not only that one judge tainted the fight. But so are some fans with their bull**** like saying things like Williams lost to a D level fighter. It's amazing the garbage I hear out of posters' mouths on this site.

Don't know why people would say Martinez is a D level fighter? To me he
is much more well rounded than Miguel Cotto and a lot of other big name
fighters. A lot fo times people believe the hype because fighters have big
names and are talk up in the press. Martinez is a very good fighter and
don't see why people would think Williams was supposed to shut him out
when Sergio hasn't lost a pro fight in YEARS.

I think that Camacho Jr. is the "slickest" boxer.

The problem with Paul Williams is that he wants to impress and pressure
opening himself up and putting himself in danger. Exciting as he is, next
time it could really cost him. I think the sport of Boxing should give
Martinez more respect than what they have been doing in regards to
his last fights (Cintron comes to mind) What these promoters need to
start doing is making sure they make a big deal before a fight about
the judges. The players in the sport of Boxing can do something about
                      it if they wanted to.
