Floyd Mayweather Jr. has beaten 3 Lineal Welterweight Champions

Oscar De La Hoya (whom he fought at 154): Oscar beat Whitaker for the crown
Zab Judah: Zab beat Spinks for the crown
Carlos Baldomir: Carlos beat Zab for the crown

I've seen many posts saying Floyd has never fought a real WW, but how can that be true when Floyd has fought and beat 3 former lineal WW champions?

According to this.........Zab was never a lineal champ.

Maybe you meant undisputed. Coz Zb was once undisputed Champ.

Yeah, that site really looks credible.

Use some common sense, they have Cory Spinks listed as a lineal champion. Zab knocked out Spinks in 9 rounds, how is Zab not the lineal champion after that?

Real WW = Elite Welterweights aka people who might realistically have a chance of beating Floyd aka actual worthy opposition(see: Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey, Paul Williams, and Manny Pacquaio now).

DLH was a part-time fighter far from his best.
Zab was a talented head-case coming off a loss to Baldomir.
Baldomir was an incredibly limited fighter lucky to win the belt off Zab.

None of those fighters were elite Welters when Floyd faced them.

You also gotta have common sense that whoever put that list in there aren't dumb either. Why they didn't have a lineal champ from 2005-2008 is beyond me. There's got to be a reason, I don't know the answer yet.

Was Miguel Cotto an elite WW when he fought Pacquiao?
