Does Martinez have a snowball chance in hell tonite?

I really think so. I think styles make fights. And its a tough matchup for both guys. It wont be a walk in the park for either guy..

Martinez has very good footwork and fast/fleet footed. Southpaw and slick. The last thing he will do is stand right in front of Williams like Tony and Winky(his best wins). What Williams showed me in the first Quintana fight is that he doesnt adjust well in the ring, he was clueless.. He just relies on workrate to outwork you. Im not so sure this will work vs Martinez.
Martinez has very fast hands and Williams leaves himself open when he opens up. Im almost sure Martinez is gonna land the cleaner more flush shots OOOing the crowd as he counterpunches Williams.. I cant wait for this fight.. I smell an upset brewing folks.

I agree. Martinez is a counter puncher by nature and Williams is gonna provide plenty of opportunities for him to counter. I honestly feel that he will use distance and wind up hurting Williams with a hard straight left. Martinez said my exact sentiments regarding the jump in weight: "I will not sacrifice my speed and in moving up, I will be stronger than I was at 154"

It will be a good fight but I think it is Williams who could get ko'd if anyone does.

you cant look at williams opposition wo looking at martinez's. Martinez didnt counter bunema or cintron bc he dictated pace. He jumped in and out at his whim which pw has never allowed. maravilla's hands are fast and he does have good footwork, but with his lack of punching power and much shorter reach he will have the ring cut off much of the fight and play target practice. He does have a shot as a counterpuncher, but i haven't seen that is his game and his weak opposition hasnt forced him to develop that game. That being said, he has a shot because he is a very skilled fighter I jus dont see it happening.

bunema and cintron stood around waiing for the fight to come to them, they allowed martinez to dictate pace but werent really countered all that efficiently. And williams is faster than both of them

Martinez knocked Cintron out with a counter punch, ref missed it(idiot)
Williams leaves himself open a lot more than Cintron with his wide wild punches.
Martinez will definitely have plenty of openings all night

Its gonna be accurate punching vs workrate

Goosen Promotions, Martinez will need to dominate to have a chance

Besides Cintron who has Martinez really beat???
Martinez has a low workrate and Paul Williams would take advantage of this
The last time Martinez was someone who was anyone he got outworked and stopped by Margarito
This is a Monster in with Martinez tonight he'll get a big wake-up
