If Floyd listens to his dad, he will get smacked around...

    Bottom line.

Now I know that Floyd (Jr) is smarter than this, hell I thought some of the posters around here were smarter than that.

But I expect this from Sr. The man is still but hurt (from the Hatton fight).

Anyone on this site that has not seen what Manny now does with both hands, just watch Golf instead. You clearly don't know how to understand what you are watching.

On A Side Note: I have said this before, but this is the last time. I don't get how Sr can say whatever he wants (and has many people believe his words, mostly Floyd fans), then you have Roach, who has always been this way (just ask James Toney, and other fighters he has trained), but he is in the spotlight more cause of Manny. Yet everyone hates and wants to kill Roach when he opens his mouth (mainly Floyd fans as of now). I don't get how the two are seperate.

In Freddy Roach's words.....it's because Floyd Sr. is creative and playful when talking smack. 95% of people know to take it for what it is. He's not mean with what he says. Jr. on the other hand is a completely different story.

it's sad to because they get mad at roach because in the back of their minds he's perceived as the truth. He's been right in almost every scenario. He's predicted everything in Manny's career.

He predicted Pacquiao would outbox DLH brutally. He predicted Pac would stop Hatton inside 3 rounds, he predicted Cotto would try to counter punch (he did) and taught Manny to lure him into an exchange (aka, made Cotto attack Manny) also predicted Cotto would be cut up and stopped in the late rounds (the fight should have been stopped in round 9 at least).

so when he says something, it bothers people because it makes them fear. I remember champboxer was mocking roach leading up to the Cotto fight, but deep down inside it was insecurity...

i don't blame him for being pissed about the hatton fight, ricky didn't bother listening to Sr. at all.

as for Sr. in general, i think he just talks out of his ass 99% of the time, and if you recognize that, then you take everything he says with a lot of salt. The guy is a crackhead, that's for sure. I can see why Jr. threw him out.

Roach, great trainer, but he says a lot of unnecessary ****. If he'd not opened his mouth about all these catchweights, the Pac camp wouldn't look so silly. It tarnishes his best fighter's reputation when every future fight: JMM, Foreman, Floyd, are all being suggested by Roach at catchweights. This is after Pac just fought a catchweight fight for a WW belt. He should have just kept his mouth shut.
