Britain is not like America. I have come to conclusion Brits will support anyone who sports the British flag. Regardless of race and religion. However, America is more of a racial country than Nationalist. They support fighters based on race
Amir Khan plays the race card!

I think the ****** factor is more of an issue now post 9/11 and the London bombings of 7/7/05. Prince Naseem was very popular but his last major fight was a few months before 9/11. He had one post 9/11 fight which he won than retired. Its safe to say if Hamed was a fighter starting out post 9/11 he wouldn't have been as popular even with his flamboyant personality.Comment

i dont know if mentioned but your right Khan was born and raised in Bolton England. His parents are from a Pakistan. His brother is also an amateur boxer. Khan dont need to live in England no more now that he trains in the U.S.
Khan has work to do.. only 23 years old i think its best if he kicks it with the U.S its not like he English property.Comment

I think he's right, mostly race plays a partSorry bro but he got a point...Look at Hatton. Hatton is PURE GARBAGE. He has 1 win over a SHOT AN FADED Tzyou. Take away that win an who has be beat? NO ONE. If Hatton was black or brown with his BORING hold an grab style no one would care but EM but since he's white its O.K.
I just think he's overhyped.I would respect him if he fought people like Bradley not going after bums. This is the reason why I never liked Hatton until he stepped up.I never liked Calzaghe up to now I dont like him.Fighting hypes like Kessler and Ashira didnt earn my respect.
People liked Calzaghe even though he was a fraud but hate Khan because he's of Pakistan origin.Comment

I don't think he is a boxing star IMO. He got ktfo by Prescott n he still hasn't avenged his loss. I'm rooting for him to beat Salita. He should be proud he is ****** not act like it's the reason your not the biggest star in England. Unfortunately I agree with him about the race n religion card. Being of Pakistani descent and a ****** he is a good role model and should be the face of anti terror. Here's hoping that he becomes known for more than PACs sparring partnerComment

Khan won't be anymore popular in the US than he is in the UK, i think he will be far less popular because you've got to earn your popularity over there.i dont know if mentioned but your right Khan was born and raised in Bolton England.
