Bernard Hopkins was surprisingly entertaining last night.

He needs to fight Dawson so he can stop with this farce.
Hopkins is **** now.. the only reason he wins fights is because he forces fighters to move
up drastically in weight to divisions they are uncomfortable fighting in.

Been hearing mixed reviews. Some have said that B-Hop looked very old and some have said that he looked great. I haven't seen the fight but I don't think fighting at HW is right for him unless it's Adamek and no one else.

He looked like typical Bernard to me...Ornelas just came to fight and has a real solid chin...it was close until about Round 6...

Typical Bernard jump in, grab, rough his opponent up...

Hopkins doesn't typically throw 5 punch combos.

What about the 232 times in the Calzaghe fight?

Hopkins looked average, I think he thought he could fight as effortless as the Pavlik fight he really tries to "not try" with his movement nowadays but I don't think he will carry this over to the highest level against much tougher pressure.

Shoulders and gloves and ones back don't count.

Hopkins started slow but he picked it up mid-fight and definitely showed flashes of brilliance in the fight. But it looked like the year off might have had an effect so Hopkins can't afford to take that much time off again at this stage, he should aim to fight again pretty soon imo.

Hopkins got hit more because he wasnt terribly worried about who he was in against. He tried to open up more which left him open to more shots then normal. If he had wanted to fight in a way that never let a flush punch hit him, he could have.
