    Remind me again....if Paul Williams can make 147....

    Why did he not fight Sergio Martinez at 154? Not a hate thread, I'm just curious because this fight would have been better with the title on the line.

    Sergio wanted it at 154, he called for it. There was an article on this here on Boxingscene, I guess he didn't want to risk his belt.

        People just blame the whole thing on Paul Williams and don't take into account that Martinez wants to keep that belt tucked away after he takes his ass whipping this weekend.

            Yeah and sadly the possible win would be somewhat diminished. Paul isn't thinking, I would have faced Martinez at 154.

              He still had lots of time to reach 154, about a month or so...

              I don't believe we'll see Williams at 147 again.

                I mean Martinez is a good fighter, but he'd probably get more credit at 154 like you are saying D.

                    well we cant knock paul for wanting to fight at 160..then say he picks on smaller fighters at 147..we cant have it both ways
