If Mayweather is better than Whitaker then he has a better resume, only he does not, end of story

You can't base a matchup off of resume alone...

You don't like Floyd tho so I'll carry on...

I think floyd and pernell's defense in terms of effectiveness is the same

pernell was just much more flashy on terms of avoiding a punch, he found every sort of weird angle to avoid a punch in,

either way i think they are both defensive psychics ...lol

Im not doing that. Im saying you cant rank a guy a better fighter just because you think he is, it goes on resume.

I have specific reasons why i think he would beat Mayweather, dont cry.

I've said the same also, Mayweather and Pernell's defense are about equal. Just that I'm more impressed with Whitaker's display of defense. Both VERY entertaining to watch.

The only reason Mayweather might have a better defense is cause offensively Money makes Sweet Pea look like Henry Armstrong.

imo, he would have beat them all. Mayweather is a question mark though, of course.

him vs Williams would have been interesting too, but I cant help but to think itd be a replay of Quintana-Williams I...

him vs Pacquiao would have been quite interesting as well. off the top of my head, I cant think of anyone Whitaker fought that had Pacquiao level speed.

And very strong legs too. Despite his lack of punching power, he could get real rough in there as well. These are some difficult match ups though.

Very very true. Whitaker's legs were very very strong. He pushed JCC, Oscar, JCV and even Tito around.
