seriously, march is the "proposed" date, just like any negotiations, there is a proposed baseline etc. people here take everything roach says seriously and twist it out of proportion, he aint negotiating this fight.pac just fought 2 weeks ago, just got paid big bucks and you expect him to get into camp after what.. 1 month of recovery with broken ears / fist? haha. talk about an overtrained pac on fight night

No fight for Manny till after the May 2009 elections. Campaign period is too long in the P.I. and Manny needs to campaign more in his new district. He will be up against a very influential political family in Saranggani. Being a national boxing icon will not suffice. If so, he would not have lost in the last elections. These folks are steadily trying to flip and place blame on floyd. However, there isn't any room for them to maneuver and pull off the 'ole switch a roo' so they start looking for openings in a brickwall. So sad......so so sad.

I'm still riding with Team Pac, but why they said March (too soon) or May (election) was dumb. Even if Manny was set up to run uncontested he would still have to focus time on the election, so May wouldn't be good for him and his plans.

Even if he didn't take any damage in the Cotto fight, thinking Manny might fight 4 months later was probably (probably) unrealistic. He's been spreading his fights like 6 months apart in the last few years. I read an article today that Arum was waiting for him at a hotel in the Philippines and Pac had to go finish a movie instead. I mean, what does it take to convince us that Pac's life is hectic. He's on some superstar ****. He's the P4P King and if he doesn't want to fight 4 months later he's gonna tell his team that.

It seems like Arum and Roach go through this same kinda routine with Pac after every fight and then forget that Manny can be stubborn and does what he wants a lot of the times (or so it seems).

But, anyways, Team Pac did make it easy for Mayweather and his fans by offering up March or May. Money May is rested and could have said yes to either choice (with or without realizing either date was bad for Pacquiao).
