My point is still clear, even in the post you quoted.
Lewis should have retired after the Tyson fight, because its only a matter of time before his age catches up with him, and eventually he'd end up like Holyfield.
Yes Ali had Parkinsons, but look at almost any other Heavyeight Champion:
Jack johnson: At 37 lost to Jess Willard
Joe Louis: 36 lost to Ezzard Charrles
Rocky Marciano: Retrired at 32
Muhammad Ali: 36 lost to Leon Spinks
Larry Holmes: 37 lost to Michael Spinks
Evander Holyfield: Look at his fights with Ruiz
The point I was making is that after 36 years old, its only a matter of time before Lewis was going to find out the hard way his faculties weren't what they used to be.
You picked up the Ali comment and started barking about Parkinson's, again, like it was your Trump card.
My point was clear, Lewis should have retired after fighting Tyson. He didn't need to fight on until he found out he had lost a step. Far too many great fighters fight on too long.
Can't you read?
Or do you want to just keep posting those same two meaningless posts again like they're you're trump card?

And if you'd learn how to read entire posts before responding, you'd see that I posted that with his size, and not so impressive hand or footspeed, even when he was young, the age limits of smaller heavies don't neccessarily apply to him. All those heavies are quite a bit smaller than Lewis, and all relied much more on their hand and footspeed than he did, over the course of their careers.
Who are you to decide that and speak about it like its a fact?
It was in his best interest to retire while he was on top, not fight meaningless fight, after meaningless fight until he finds out the hard way.
Vitali didn't necessasirly warrent a title shot, he got it because Kirk Johnson was injured.
Lewis shouldn't have even been fighting Johnson. For what reason?
After the payday and win over Tyson, there wasn't anything left for him to do or prove. It would have been the perfect time for him to retire.
Which is why I said that he retired by choice, and not because he couldn't have gone on, like that Ali character you compared him to. And by the way, do you really think he would have lost the Spinks fight, if age had been his only problem? I mean, he came back and beat Spinks even with his ailments. If you keep changing my original point, I will be forced to bring the old posts out again.
Lewis was behind on points in a 6 round fight before it was STOPPED because Vitali's face looked like hamburger.
Vitali lost that fight because of the condition his face was in.
That was a deserving, REAL, LOSS.
I never said it wasn't a REAL loss. Of course it's real, the L on VK's record proves it. All I pointed out was that Lewis was getting beat up to that point. To just say Vitali got beat and that's that would be unfair to the great effort he put up in that fight. He at least deserves credit for giving Lewis all he could handle for 6 rounds. Lewis was lucky enough to open some cuts and he got out of an extremely dangerous situation in that fight. From the posts that you've written on this topic, you would like to have everyone think that VK sucks ass. For all we know, if they hadn't stopped the fight, VK would have dropped Lewis. I just think that you're giving Lewis far too much credit. He deserves credit in opening up those cuts, but he by no means should be praised for his lackluster performance against a man who was given notice of the fight only like 2 weeks prior.

You don't have a point. You keep switching it, and jumping between topics.
I've said 3 times now, Ali was just ONE example of a fighter who fought on too long. MANY fighters have. Again, you just go back to that one aside of a point and hold onto it like its all you have.
When did I say he DIDN'T Retire by choice? I said HE SHOULD HAVE RETIRED EARLIER.
You're really reaching. You twist and twist and jump from statement to statement.
All this after last weeks pathetic display of 100% making up things and saying I said them, to talking about what I didn't say but what you knew I was implying.

You're just starting to get boring now.
You compared his condition at the time of retirement to that of Ali, I have been saying that from the beginning, I am not jumping from any statement to any other, I said to compare a 37 yr old Lewis to a 37 yr old Ali is an unfair comparison, and an insult to those who have followed both fighters. You then, after many pointless posts, continued to insist that I didn't even know what my point was, and even stated that I never had one. Then I brought back the old posts, my first one, where my point, the one you purposely ignored, had resided the entire time, and posted both of our posts again to ensure you would see it. You then became angry, and ranted momentarily about me double-posting them, and accused me of using them as a trump card. My point has been the same from the start. And yet, after seeing the original posts and being angered by seeing them again, you're once again trying to go back to that "you don't have a point" argument. Do you want to see the posts again?

LoL at you suggesting I got angry.
That would have been you in your CAPS LOCK ridden F-Bomb post.
I've explained to you 4 times, once immediatly after you jumped on that comment about Ali (which again was an aside to what I was talking about) that that was one example of many.
I mentioned that several times, and several times you ignored it.
You ignored it, and you jumped onto the comment about Lewis' shape for the Klitscho fight where I said
He didn't come into that fight in the same physical condition he did a year or tow ago.
You said
Again yes he did, physically.
Which is where things got derailed until you went off on your swearing and caps lock tangent.
What's funny is your eagerness to look for posts in this thread, when a few days ago in the Wlad thread, you said you don't have time to search for posts (again because you were putting words in my mouth and making up things I said).
Now, because you think you can twist things into saying you were only talking about my comment about Ali, when he was one of several fighters I mentioned (and I explained what I was getting at at 4 different times), you think you've alleviated your self from all the non sense and wounded nut hugging rambling you did.
Nothing but twisting and blowing smoke. All this after your tirade in the Wlad thread full of lies, and making things up and saying I said them.
Lewis should have retired after beating Tyson. Look at how effective Ali was after 36. Joe Louis after 36.
Vitali had his chance at an older, inactive, not int top shape Lewis, and he couldn't cash in.
As for Byrd, Byrd was and still is available, but Vitali is (for some reason) fighting John Ruiz's leftovers.
I'm going to bring this **** back, and you point out the post where you immediately explained that Ali was only one example (even though I already explained the difference between his and Lewis' condition at the time of retirement)
