The longer it is between Mayweather and Pacquiao fighting, the worse it is for Floyd.

Who does Floyd fight, if not Pacquiao in March or May? This is a difficult situation for him, because if he takes easy fights, it means fighting average fighters, and since they probably won't do great in terms of PPV numbers, it won't do him any favors when it comes to negotiating. On top of that, he will lose respect for taking easy fights.

If he takes tough challenges, such as Mosley, Williams, etc., he is risking his 0, which, should it happen, puts him at an even greater disadvantage when it comes to negotiating with Pacquiao.

But if he were to beat Mosley, it would change this situation completely. So, is the next logical step to fight Shane? And how likely is it to happen, in your opinion, assuming there is no Pacquiao fight until later in the year?

In my opinion, there is absolutely no question -- he needs to fight Shane in the first half of 2010. One last snag -- Shane needs to get past Berto. I think Mosley wins that fight unless he's slipped due to age and relatively low activity, but Berto can't be counted out.

You and the rest of the pactarts want Floyd to fight Shane hoping he loses so Pac don`t have to fight him.Then ya`ll can have that huge sigh of relief and then claim Pac would have beaten Floyd anyway.And then Pac can weight drain Mosley by making Mosley meet Pac at 124 pounds.And after pac stops him ya`ll can claim Pac is god.
