Well Toney did get knocked down by a jab from Peter, but you can't seriously be comparing Peter to Haye. I'd never count on Hopkins getting knocked out with his defense and chin, but we're talking about a very quick 220 lber here. If Bernard can't get his respect with his counters, Hops is in for a very long (or short) night.

Yeah Joe is right.....the fact that so many posters are seriously entertaining the idea of Haye/Hopkins being anything other than poor old Hopkins getting brutalized further proves the lack of realism in this forum......I didn't catch the end of the fight tonight because I had to go to work but rounds 1-9 were a bit too competitive for me to think B-hop has a chance against a stronger faster, younger opponent who out weighs him by about 30lbs.Haye isn't nearly as skilled as Taylor (was) or Calzaghe. Not even in Cal's league, in fact. He'll probably think he can switch to boxer mode like he did against Valuev, and Hopkins won't even sniff the canvas.
B-Hop is way too wily and talented to get knocked out. He's not just going to stand there and get punched. Furthermore, he jumped up in weight class to fight Tarvar and destroyed him. Every one of you morons were picking Tarvar (the younger, stronger, bigger man) to KO Hopkins. Then you picked Pavlik to do the same. Haye will barely lay a glove on B-Hop. I've learned to stop doubting him, even though I think he's an arrogant terd who can't admit defeat (see: his fight with JoeCal).
Hopkins rehydrates to nearly 190 pounds in his LHW fights, so fighting Heavyweight won't be that difficult. He'll be swift, and he'll counter effectively. We also know that the only guy to land some clean shots on Haye took him out.

Toney has a awesome chin.
Hopkins was never hurt by Calzaghe or Taylor, I've watched those fights numerous times and Bhop was never hurt at all.Comment

where do you buy your drugs lol, Haye would destroy Hopkins. a 45yr old blown up middleweight Vs 20yr old Heavyweight mmmmm. hopkins hasnt KO`d anyone since DLH and Haye came close to dropping the biggest HW champ in history with a broken hand now imagine what is gonna happen to an old Hop once Haye lands. Imo haye would bully him round the ring and Hopkins would have to get on his bike and i dont see him goin 12 without Haye landing some bombs(i could be wrong but i doubt it) Credit to Hopkins tho hes got some bottle wanting to fight HayeLast edited by Edward Hitler; 12-03-2009, 12:35 PM.Comment

I could not agree with you more. Haye choose to move instead of throwing punches and when he combines the two is when his stamina will be truly tested.Comment

It's possible. The point has been made that both Ruiz and Haye performed poorly against Valuev--but Haye gets good scores because his fan base brings big money, while Ruiz receives no favors because he's unpopular. David Haye could become overconfident, allowing Ruiz to catch him with some good shots, and I've seen no proof that Haye has a good chin.Comment
