Manny wants to fight floyd ... but later in the year (after all the distractions on his attempt at politics)
Arum is forcing this fight on him earlier ... knowing that pac had other plans.

What the guy I quoted said.
      U mean Yuri Foreman?

Manny will sign the contract...i mean he used to sleep on the streets for goodness sake.

But i smell fear in Roach's comments...now he wants more time after intitially wanting the March date. PBF has them on lock, Team Pac has nowhere to hide. And i know that Floyd won't fight at 145....he'd rather leave the money than be at a disadvantage...don't forget the man already turned down 30million for DLH rematch for no apparent reason....

          Other people are noticing.

          Super fight in jeopardy:

Pacquiao wants 60-40 purse for Mayweather fight

          December 3, 6:37 AM

The negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather may have hit a brick wall with the news that Pacquiao wants a bigger share of the purse than Floyd.

Mayweather has apparently already signed for a fight in March, and Bob Arum is in the Philippines now talking to Manny about the terms of the deal. While many people suspected that the talks would hit a snag at some point most thought that this would come from Floyd Mayweather and Golden Boy rather than Pacquiao.

Speaking to the L.A Times Freddie Roach said:

"Manny believes he should get a 60-40 [purse] split too, because he did better in pay-per-view than Mayweather this year. Manny's the bigger draw."

"March 13 is too fast a turnaround," Roach said. "Manny has a broken [right] eardrum" suffered in the Cotto fight. "I'd like to have more time. I hope the fight happens, yes, but I want us to be in the best possible shape."

It seems particularly odd that Manny has made this claim after his trainer, Freddie Roach said recently that a 50/50 split would get the fight made
. Whether or not either fighter is more deserving of a bigger split, demanding to get the bigger share is almost certain to raise the ire of prospective opponent Floyd Mayweather, who rightly or wrongly believes that he is the better fighter.

As far as Floyd Mayweather is concerned, a smaller share of the purse will probably not be acceptable to his ego, pride or claims that he is the best fighter in the world.

To let Pacquiao take the bigger purse is almost to admit that he is the better and more popular fighter, which are both things that Floyd has contested vehemently in the past.

The truth of the matter is that neither factor is clearly in favor of either fighter. The best fighter will have to be contested in the ring if the fight now happens. and the most popular can be argued for either given the mixed bag of pay per view sales either has achieved.

It isn't just Mayweather fans on NSB who have taken notice of the mild quacking sound off in the distance.

None of these guys provided the big and definately not the biggest money fight. I don't call going after the big money fight as opposed to fighting these other guys with no upside ducking. Thats just my opinion. Its about time manny did live up to his take on all comers reputation because up to this point he's only fought "flat footed" and/or mediocre fighters and there were chances to fight other guys that didn't fit that criteria. If he takes on Mayweather in my mind all that will be erased though.
Very well written. Sometimes boxing fans are crazy like soccer/football fans. Just because he is what he is does not make him the new resurrection. Come on know. The reality is we want this fight and right now Floyd has done his part and we are waiting on Manny.

I dislike accusing fighters of ducking. I always come up with an excuse for any fighter, even the one's i don't even like. Example: Cotto not fighting Williams for his WBO title but then he fights for it against Jennings right after Williams vacates it. I defended cotto in those accusations, as a Williams fan.

Pacquiao is ducking Mayweather. I like Pacquiao too, but he's ducking him. He does not want to fight him because he feels if he loses then that will somewhat hurt his image while running for whatever he is running for. Right now, the only thing I see him running for is nothing, he's running from Mayweather.

Hopefully Pacman comes to his senses, agrees to 50-50 and the March date. Floyd's behavior for negotiations have shut the critics up. The one's who thought that the fight will not happen because of Floyd are now eating **** and doing everything they can to defend their guy for not taking the fight.

I don't care when they fight March, May, September, December, March the following year~ I am patient I can wait. I can feel letting the fight build to a full boil even though demand is pretty high right now and at some point next year there will be a point of diminishing returns but I doubt demand is really going to fall off unless one of them slips up or the fight is not atleast signed in the next 12 to 16 months.

I am pretty sure they will still fight at some point next year, what I do know is this if the shoe was on the other foot people would be out of control with the Mayweather hate.

I will choose to wait and see before I make any firm judgements on the matter.
