  • It amazes me how haters like you have flipped the script to try to make it sound like Mayweather insisted on the March fight to try to take advantage of Pacquaio's depleted condition. The sad thing about it is that all the other haters on this site are going to jump on the bandwagon and write a thousand posts about how the "feather-fisted Mayweather" who was going to get "brutally KO'd by Pacquaio" if he dared to sign the contract, is suddenly taking advantage of the "greatest fighter of all time" by "forcing" Pacquaio, who is actually the "star" of this event and sets all the terms because he is a hero in his country and sold 1.2 million PPV's against Cotto (who was not responsible for any of those PPV numbers even though he is a PPV attraction himself) is such as scumbag for "DEMANDING" a March fight.

Who the hell does Mayweather think he is?

I thought Cotto was the one who said 145 and Manny agreed? But, even if the fight was at 147 the outcome wouldn't change.

or 8 million or more to fight for the linear title??
The Baldomir fight was not even on the table though. Is not like when he turned down a career high payday that he knew he would get the same amount for Baldomir. And, he also paid $750,000 for the buyout. And, Margarito had more of a fanbase than Baldomir so at the end Floyd would of gotten more with Margarito. But, not only was Baldomir the lineal champ he was also an easier fight.

            • Wow! I can't believe how fast everyone has turned on Pacquiao. Not even 3 weeks ago he knocked out Cotto and had everyone hugging the warmth of his Sacquiao even tighter than ever. Then, no one expects Floyd to agree to anything right away. He's expected to make all kinds of excuses and everyone expects such difficult negotiations and then, all of a sudden, since Flakey Floyd decides he needs money for a new set of glitter guilded rollerskates Pac is supposed to be waiting and jump at the opportunity to go back to training in only a few weeks for the biggest fight of his life. I say screw Floyd. Pac's the man so he sets the terms. Let Floyd chase him for awhile. Pac can go up to 154 and make more history. Floyd can fight Mosley and pay some more tax debts. And all you fake fans out there. Keep your little ladders handy. You'll be needing them to climb back up on Pac's nuts after he shuts Floyd's big mouth.

What do you mean not on the table??

Baldomir just beaten Judah and had ring title. Watch Floyd-Kenny interview. He was criticizing Floyd for fighting Judah instead of Baldomir. And just no. Margarito was a nobody back then. Floyd got paid 8 millions plus 50% of the revenue.

Cotto wanted 147. Pac asked for the catchweight. When has miguel ever asked for a catchweight?!
Actually, Pac wanted even lower than that.

Pac asked for 142-144 Cotto said I go down as 145 and Pac agreed.

Margarito had more of fan base than Baldomir at the time? So how was he a nobody? I am sorry you must not be a boxing fan at the time if you didn't know who Margarito was. Again the Baldomir fight was not on the table when the Margarito fight was offered. It was not bro... Floyd pretty much had to pay money in order not to fight Margarito.
