Why are people talking like Arum is not ****** rich already? This does not make on break Arum. He's been in the game a long time, with or without this fight Arum is going to be making tons of money till he drops.

-pacquiao said it himself that he would love to fight mayweather ever since mayweather beat de la hoya because de la hoya was pacquiao's boxing idol...yall gotta be kidding me...then pacquiao tko'd de la hoya and thought that would be enough for mayweather to fight him as well as pound for pound supremacy....then pacquiao ko'd hatton and then he was gonna wait for mayweather to fight marquez in july BUT...mayweather had the fight pushed back to september for "questionable" reasons...so pacquiao didnt want to wait and fought somebody who mayweather has avoided and many considered one of the best welterweights, cotto....pacquiao demolished him and showed that he truly is one of the ATG's and deserved his pound for pound status...

all im saying is pacquiao said it himself that he doesnt want to fight until the elections are over (and that is not until the end of may)

pacquiao has to recover from his damaged ear drum and most inportantly, HIS BROKEN HAND after the cotto fight!!!

to the average boxing fan, they wouldnt know shyt about pacquiao's schedule and his goals outside the ring...(as well as the dates to achieve those goals)

they just want the fight to happen asap but have no consideration for a fair fight...

look at the options...pacquiao has gone on record and said that he would love to fight mayweather but a reasonable date would be august or september...

so...while pacquiao pursues his goals of being a politician and congressman, why cant mayweather fight the winner of the shane mosley - andre berto fight??? there is nothing wrong with that at all....

and i love mayweather and mosley as well and they both have said that they plan on taking over the welterweight division so what is wrong with that fight???

after the mayweather - marquez fight, tons of boxing fans actually wanted to see that fight...mayweather and mosley since nobody knew that pacquiao could take a punch and definitely throw one in the welterweight division...

then again who is sure mayweather would win against mosley or even berto? (but i will definitely bet some REAL money that mayweather will definitely beat either one of their asses...trust me!!! mayweather is truly one of a kind and is gifted in the sweet science...def an ATG in his own right

but i too would die to see a fight between pacquiao and mayweather...it truly is what the fans are demanding but not just average fans but as well as legends of boxing and past boxing champs and greats....this fight has to happen and mayweather just needs to chill with fighting pacquiao on such a short notice on march 13

the first fight between leonard and duran was nice too...it had duran imposing his style on leonard and making him fight a tough ugly fight...

but leonard learned that he couldnt do that with a guy like duran, so in the second and third fights with duran he stayed on the outside boxing and getting out...hitting and moving

mayweather grew up in boxing...it was a family thing and his father and uncle kept him in the boxing gym...he has the best skills of any boxer OF ALL TIME!!!

but pacquiao...wow lol...this is a classic boxing tale of having nothing and fighting to live!!! this dude wanted to be a priest but was very poor and couldnt pay for school...his family also starved many days and nights with nothing to eat...so pacquiao saw a fight on tv and decided that he would box to get money...he fought on an empty stomach(which the 2 knockout loses on his resume were from body shots) in many of his first fights, but he didnt care because he desperately needed money for his family...eventually he came out of the competetive region of asia and went to california to further his fame...there he met freddie roach and by now i think u guys know what happened from this point...

Arum says pacquiao will win, and that’s why mayweather has been reluctant to do the fight???? Anyone else think that comment is funny? We’re talking about the same mayweather who came right out after the cotto fight, and said many would be easy work…..then he went on to sign the deal to fight him, after what, a WEEK of negotiations!

On the other side, you have pacman who has kept quiet….you have Freddie roach, who first says floyd would be an easier fight than cotto…..then roach says march 13th is too soon to fight a guy like mayweather, not b/c pacquiao is hurt, but b/c mayweather has a difficult style to prepare for…..WTF? then roach says 60-40 split for pacquiao gets the fight done….after the ppv numbers come out, roach says 50-50 gets it done. Then roach says they’d take the fight on march 13th, BUT FLOYD IS SCARED!!! LMAO!!! Floyd signs the deal for march, now roach wants 60-40 again, and pacquaio’s attorney has stated pacman won’t be fighting at all the first half of 2010. And bob arum has to fly all the way to the phillippines, unannounced, so he can sneak up on manny, convince him to come out from under the bed, and take the fight……

This does not make or break Arum ... but he likely already has a commitment with GBP that they are gonna make this fight happen. Remember the hatton negotations? Arum already committed without manny's consent.

We all want the fight to happen.
I just find it how Arum tries to sugar coat in his attempt to convince pac to get the fight NOW ... or else he's not going the fight.
Its a repeat of what he did in the hatton negotiations.

this whole manny ducking floyd is complete *****. the gy just fought cotto, has floyd ever fought cotto or a top ww for that matter. floyd retired for 2 years after beating hatton cause there was no one left to fight?? except mosley, cotto, marg,clottey... manny busted his eardrum less than a month ago and has so many more things going on his life. mayweather should have to beat mosley/berto winner to get a shot at manny. pac is the best , he fights the best, and when he fights its actually entertaining. i respect floyd's skill but he is a disgrace to the sport of boxing, since leaving lightweight in '04 he has fought any top guys or if he has they had to come up in weight. you can say manny has fought guys that are over the hill and that there hand picked, but at the time they were considered the best and he did fight them and he beats them in a fashion that floyd will never get to experience. manny can sit on his ass for the next 2 years and i would still have so much more respect for him.
